This is the first BSOD i've had since building my computer, I don't install loads of junk, i try to keep it as fresh as possible, IF while installing drivers i get a BSOD saying ATIKMDAG.Sys, nonpagefault w/e i will most likely put it down to code in the drivers disagreeing with my setup for some unknown reason. for now i'll stick with 11.4's.

o and i do have a ps3 + Xbox360. not that they get played much of late, and the reason i post here is becuase i noticed how inactive AMD Forums are.

It looks like that BSOD happens only on some videocard models. Installed these on my HD6790 without any trouble, but on my brother's PC with HD3650 it caused GSOD (green\gray lines on the screen after CCC launches). We both have Win 7 x32 SP1. On father's XP with HD5670 the latest drivers, which didn't cause BSOD is 10.9. He works only in 2D (even does not have a screensaver), but driver still crashes. So, IMHO, crashes are driver related, because earlier builds did not cause problems to a half of Guru3D members.

You think posting over at the AMD driver section is any better?

I find it funny how though kids are when they sit behind a monitor.

Oddly enough I've never gotten a BSoD due to an AMD/ATI card.

The only BSoDs I've ever gotten on this rig (aside from the obvious ones we all get, like from OCing too much) were due to:
    - a dying X-Fi Xtreme Music card
    - a game pad driver+program (which I still have to put up with, no alternatives to that program)

I agree. Only on Guru3D it seems do users have issues with every single driver release. Although Guru3D do have some nice threads for game fixes and early released drivers though, so like it for that. But the BSOD threads etc, crack me up also.

    HD4870 1GB > HD5850 > HD5850 Toxic > HD5970 > HD6970 > HD6970 CFX.

My last Nvidia was a 9800GTX+, which I loved.

Funny how I have all those AMD cards in the last 2 years yet I've had 0 problems with drivers, and never had a BSOD caused by the AMD/ATI drivers.

    Buahahahahahahaha. :stewpid:

Now go back to your trollcave. :)

    • Flashing titles are no longer displayed when playing F1 2010 in a Crossfire environment.

What does that mean? I play F1 2010 a lot so that may interest me.

+1 Exactly , like this Bug about the BSOD AMD aknowledge and were well aware off " A BSOD error is no longer generated randomly when Crossfire is enabled/disabled after video/LCD overdrive settings are changed on HD 6900 series products.

    http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst116ReleaseNotes.aspx

and some people thought it was user error related when clearly it was driver error related and aknowledge by AMD.

These hosed my box until I forcefully cleaned them and rolled back to 11.5.

I think the last versions I had this kind of trouble with was 10.2, and 10.5 - though it was under different hardware.
