AMD Catalyst 11.10 Preview2 [BF3 & RAGE Driver] (8.901.2 October 6)

My machine can run the BF3 beta on medium at 1900 res just fine, ****ed if I'm spending a penny just to get Carmack's completely screwed up console port of a game to run. Have you gone mad? :3eyes:

Turn on catalyst AI, but prepare for you cpu to groan and your graphics card to not really be utilized.

 

Is this the only way to fix it? I hate ATI!

Did you put the .dll and .xml file from the RAGE driver into the Game Dir ?

Thats what it was doing to me before I did that

 

Here I had problems and earnings. RAGE became perfectly playable on my HD6870, but Photoshop CS5 no longer runs with OpenGL. Brink too.

Considerable improvement in the BF3 Beta too. Good driver, VGA keeps my idle when not needed, but...

Other aplications with OGL crashes! driver stopped responding and has recovered

What can be?

hmm still getting flicking on my system haha.... settings only on high and my specs to the left

 

i suggest all use bf3 preview1 + atiogl.dll from last rage + bf3 prev. driver...
with bf3 preview1 - best bfbc2 performance ever and good bf3 perf.! gona get rage

 

Rage was taxing my cpu cores at stock an had stutter after I oc my cpu stutter is gone no tweaks just the rage driver

 

So what do you guys think of this driver compared to the 11.9 for Battlefield 3?

I just switched over to this driver and I seem to be getting more glitching and a little more slow downs on Caspian Border. Especially with a sniper rifle or something that zooms in a bit, then I get more glitching then.

 

even with everything on LOW i'm getting framerate drops to 30 fps at times on caspian, wtf?


90% of the time its 70 fps, but 10% it drops to 30 fps

 

I reinstalled, turned off trible-buffering and turned on A.I. in Advanced

that solved! Performance are good but I think they could be better!

Hou do you set your CCC ? Could u pack and send me/share both dll and xml you're talking about? tnx!

 

With the Preview 2 driver?
I have every setting in the config on highest possible at 1080P and 8xAA and I get constant 60fps with V-Sync.

Strange because your video card at least twice as powerful as mine.

 

Overclock your CPU.

you have to reboot the game to get the settings to "stick"

Using the latest beta drivers and High Quality .cfg is working great on my rig. Crashes have been fixed and textures look great.
