St. Niclas packed this parcel for us on Dec 6th .. .. and I tought, there would be something nice inside .. :eyes: .. so I 'played' some 3DM11 with my new toy and hoped, that it would bring the shine and glory ... :3eyes:

With or without CAP4 this set brings still no support for quadfire CFX :bang:

edit: ATTENTION: Switching from this driver back to previous ones is a horror story!!
Before falling asleep, I wanted to switch back to my good old XG10.10 .. DAMN .. total breakdown !! I deleted the drivers as usual, switch to standard VGA, TWL-cleaner ... and reinstall failed .. tried other drivers, tried combined with Driver Sweeper, system recovery, criticalsituation.reg ...

NO WAY!! Took me ages and numerous cleans and restarts to get back my 10.10 working , even this latest 10.11b refused new install.

edit 2: Need to mention that there is another time bomb for CFX users: All latest drivers (incl. this one) will cause system crash (black screen HALT with loud 'BRRR' sound from the speakers, when you have turned CFX Off and try to enable CFX again. Only a new driver install can fix that !!

For me this driver is a HUUGE FAIL ! :biggun:

Best drivers for me since 10.5a.

Im using cap 4 with it.

Only one fault, in map heavy metal in bc2 im getting texture flickering on some textures and shadows, seems to disabling hsbao and enabling it again reduce the effect, rest of the maps work ok with good framerate.


Hans Dampf tried uninstall, start in secure mode, pass driversweeper, restar, pas twl cleaner and install the new drivers? im switched back from 10.11 rc2 von modded to 10.5a without problems, then i switched again from 10.5a to the rc2.

 

For me it worked finally with Driver Sweeper, CriticalSituation.reg, force_fullcleanup.cmd and TWL-cleaner ... never needed Driver Sweeper and CriticalSituation.reg on previous reinstalls .. must be something new in this one!

 

On my sony vaio e-series the screen goes into some psuedo 16 bit color mode if I close and reopen the lid with these drivers. Same issue as in the 10.10d/e hotfixes and I guess it's not getting fixed.

Probably an issue on sonys side aswell because I know they released a patch that supposedly would fix a similar issue, though it doesn't fix this.

edit: omg you were right! best driver for bc2 ever! even better than 10.5.

finally a proper crossfire driver.

horrible PQ in video playback, odd colours, i had to go back to previous 10.11 official, wich for me is the best PQ in video playback so far.

Even in games, the PQ is weird, altough i have better FPS in all games with 10.11RC2, the 10.11 has better PQ without many of the extra quality options...

So, for me, this driver is all about the performance at the expense of quality.

and we all want a driver with both maximized :banana:

For me with 10.10e 3d Mark 2011 Score "2074"......Tat's only my Core 2 Duo Baby can do.. with stock...

 

With Ati Tray tools you can crank up the Mipmap levels to Quality mode, and I can confirm that it still has good performance and the quality is better.

My 3DMark scores went up by 1000 using the 10.11 beta 2 drivers over the 10.5a (no CAP)

does anyone notice lower image quality?

 

Anyone think this could be just a modded 10.5a to make it look like a newer version?

Because it's strange, all of a sudden Bad Company 2 works excellently smooth @ maxed settings again, with these drivers.

 

i am going back to 10.10. image quality seem much worse, somehow like blurred and at sametime lower resolution like.. hmm
and temps have gone up for my 6850
