so i did a driver sweep of my previous drivers, installed 10.11, and now, my C: drive is no longer detected by my motherboard (desktop). This is just great, sigh

You think you removed ALL Ati drivers, rather than only the Graphics ones ?

    Try reinstalling your chipset drivers

I installed these drivers and then noticed when opening programs and games that the 2nd screen was flickering. It bugged me as i thought my card had gone faulty ,then i noticed the 2d clocks were very low prob as 125mhz and not the 400mhz i was used to with 10.10.But it wouldnt go to 3d clock mode when playing any game and got major stuttering. I did a driver sweep and installed 10.11 again but still major crap so at the moment im on 10.10 for now. Any ideas what to do.

Always reinstalling the full 18mb developer Stream package.

Even Adobe Photoshop CS4/5 supports Stream.
CS4 with a plugin, not sure about CS5.

Not got Black Opps yet. But Medal Of Honour runs so much better with 10.11 drivers. Was getting slow downs to 45fps in parts with 10.10e driver, now the same parts of the game are 60fps (v-sync on). So happy. Was starting to think me 4870's were'nt up to it anymore.

I've done this time and time again, I'm 100% certain i only removed the graphics driver (plus I installed 10.11 right before the issue occured). It's not a matter of Windows not detecting it, it's the BIOS itself not detecting any of the IDE drives at all (so I can't even load Windows), as if the IDE controller has been knocked out.

Plugged in both my HDs into another computer and it seems to detect fine, so wtf.

I have the same problem, my windows desktop and 2d applications go all wonky and shake and jitter with lines everywhere sometimes. I've noticed when it starts it only happens when I move the mouse, its odd.

3D works great however, best drivers for Black Ops yet. So I guess I'm gonna live with it for now.

same 2d issues here, strange because I never have driver issues.....

back to 10.10 they work perfect anyway.

I haven't been able to use Xfire with the 10.10e drivers with 2x4770 for a large amount of the games I have installed. If I do, my system crashes.

From the looks of it, it doesn't seem like this issue is fixed in the 10.11 release. Does anyone have that setup without issues?

Got a shake and jitter when pressing "OK" button or applying new changes on the settings in CCC. Weird, never happened before with 10.10. Went back to Catalyst 10.10 :(

this driver reintroduced the vertical line bug for me on my 5970 ..., exept this there is a new bug switching from 2d to 3d clocks , the windowmanager crashing bug is gone for me with this drivers (i had it in 10.10e) , but this driver is still not good. hopefully the christmas driver will be better and ati/amd stop releasing crap ; 2 months ago i said ohh the ati drivers are getting better and better, and now again these fail drivers; maybe the should think about softly increasing the clockrates 2d-3d and dont shutdown gpu in 2d mode instead using crossfire for 2d with even lower clockrates so that both cores keep activated , will maybe cause less troubles.

I ran Blops with everything set to high, except no AA, 16 AF etc. I turned off AI, set to disable on 10.11 and set it to High Quality with 10.10e and I got the same results. Smooth as butter framerate above 60+ and this is on a mobile GPU.

I have a very similar problem. When I play a 2d game, or when a 3d game switches to something 2d, like a loading screen, I get this flickering and jumping screen problem, like you are describing. Once it starts, it persists until I restart Windows.

I'm using the official 10.11, and have not had any problems like this whatsoever until I loaded these drivers.
