I don't understand how anyone can go from pc to console gaming. Consoles...it's just cheapo rubbish compared to PC. No offence.

I think the weight would snap the card if that happened :p

That card is probably too long for the ATX standard. I'm gauging its length by the length of the PCI-E pins.

Haha, Put Thor's Hammer to cool that CPU (that's AM3 socket?) and you will have quite impressive combo :D

LOL at the picture of the HD6870 , it must be hot running as it haves a 8 pin for the cpu and two six pins for the GPU on the same PCB

Nice Photochop Skills :giggle2: , thats funny looking as hell ...

That's not an official concept of anything, that's an enthusiastic would-be user with too much time on his hands.

A designs with a large, or variable, number of chips would be very inefficient for any number of reasons. Maybe one day we'll see rack-mounts with GPUs used for supercomputing or server tasks but we're a fair bit off yet.

Very likely, though speculating on anything but the immediate future of integrated electronics is pretty much like writing science fiction. It's simply impossible to gauge with any real certainty.

Just think what we will have in 2020.
Blows my mind, My first PC was in 1998, paid $2,000.00 for it.
    specs
    AMD 475mhz CPU
    Voodoo 2 GPU
    32megs PC100 RAM
    8gig HD
    creative soundblaster sound card
I thought it was a beast at the time, played Diablo like a dream.

You're not alone, my PS3 would be on ebay the second they started releasing games for PC instead of making all fighting/RPG (not MMOs) games console exclusive.

I don't even play any of my PS2 games on my PS2 anymore, I emulate them so they can have higher internal res instead of 320x320! Come to think of it that must be the Wii's internal res, lol.
That's pretty badass, the first PC I had all to myself was a PoS.

200MHz Pentium which had no MMX
Some PoS GPU I don't remember
    64MB SDRAM which I don't remember
    4GB HDD IIRC
    No sound card
