    Do you mean THIS code? You can read it yourself. I wonder if you find something that does not belong to GCN but magically appears in AMD's S-SIMD patent.

    As for that same/similar/superset ISA. It is like saying that all CPUs are same because of x86_64. In other words GCN to Navi analogy is like Taking Excavator x86_64 cores and replacing them with Zen cores while externally keeping appearances on macro block level 1st time you do it. Then you shift to more cost/energy/compute/gaming efficient arrangement whichever is enabled by new variability.
    (Workhorse itself is different breed, but is used to do same work.)

    AMD shows the usual 1/2 work!
    What's worth investing in a new computer with the standard hash like HDMI 2.0
    All OLED screens come this year with HDMI 2.1

    Why buy a new computer? For 5 FPS?
