The name sounds better than ReLive Redux to be honest. Thanks for the update, Chief!

Unfortunately, because hardcore gaming enthusiasts will be happy with the overlay, there's probably a 50/50 chance there won't be any performance improvements but I'm hoping. There's clearly a lot of untapped power in Vega based on what it's doing with legacy software. Also, with the performance of the X1X, there has to be more untapped optimizations, it's a beast.

To clarify, is this supposed to be the successor to Crimson? I [thought I] remember hearing how AMD was planning on using names of different shades of red when releasing new versions of their userland driver. I've been surprised to see Crimson was used for so long (wasn't it only supposed to be used up till 2016?).

I know this is a bit early to jump the gun, but I'd like to see features like:
    • Built-in Artifact scanner/counter
    • Video memory error scanner/counter
    • Real Time VRM and VRAM temperature monitoring (could be difficult to pull off since AIB partners work their own thingamagic when it comes to Mosfets)
    • A lil' more stability for old and new GPU architectures alike within the official driver settings suite for controlling clock speed/voltage
    • Show Fury/Fury Nano/Fury X some HBCC love? (Remember VSR on HD 7000 series of cards, people?)
If AMD can pull this off, they'll get right back into the game and take back the market like they deserve. They've done a tremendous job regarding drivers in terms of performance over the years for older cards (with a few quirks here and there) and newer cards alike and have always seemed to take steps into the right direction which is the only reason I have been with their products for about 16+ years. (Including the time when ATi were all the Rage) Competition is everything as we've seen in the CPU market.

Looking forward to see what will be in this driver package. I do not upgrade every driver released. I have had no issues or need to do so.
Keep up the good work AMD!

Wonder if this driver will set 3D clocks on my 7970, every driver after the last whql driver locks my 3D clock at 500/150.....heres hoping :-S 0

Can I get back to being able to OC my HBM on my FuryX? If not I'll stick with 16.12.2

What about the potential performance gain of 17.12 over 16.12.2? It would probably exceed the advantage of being able to overclock the memory.

Make a OC BIOS with 1050/550 HBM (550 is the safest one for tMOD IMO, without tMOD make 575-600)
Then do some testing and decide.
    Comapre 16.x.x to 17.9.3 WHQL :D

    Im talkin' about ~15-40% Uplift....

I wish, i dream if AMD would manage to give possibility to use system memory as additional to video memory. Then i would proudly say "I've got the AMD" :) Yeah ..like this.

I will when they actually start selling it at non-miner prices. In other words, possibly never.

It will most probably not do anything for my 290, but I'm gonna try anyway :D.

It is being reported on the internet this new edition will not support windows 8. Just a heads up. I cannot confirm this though.

You can install the Windows 7 driver on Windows 8.1.... this is what I am doing so I can confirm it works.

It's a nice thing that we have to rely less and less on 3rd party software to clock and see performance stats.
