Well i know ac unity is poorly optimized... but in nvidia gpus there is a fix in their control panel that fixes sturring as i have seen in youtube and their game is kinda playable... I tried to lower the graphics from the game, updated my game my graphics drivers but the game stutters a lot and its damn unplayable... My specs are R9-270X FX-6300 8.0 GB Ram anyone that made it playable in amd gpus?
i think the stutter is only AMD CPU related, As I have I5 3570k and an amd R9 280x and can run at 1080 on ultra high settings smoothly. And the Ubisoft forums are littered with people with amd cpu's that have the stutter.
wait for the 1.4.0 patch that resolves the stuttering and lag and fps drops there is nothing u can do this happens on both teams
I would use msi afterburner to check the cpu core utilization. on black flag one core was always almost 100% but when you take away its affinity then give it back all the cores get used way more even. I wouldn't be surprised if it was something similar its the same game engine.
The game played well for me, lowest I saw was 33, but most of the time 45-60. Also no stutter issues. Everything ultra with FXAA at 1080p. VRAM usage went up to 3,75, and always above 3,5GB, maybe that's why it doesn't work so well on video cards with less than 4GB memory. i7 4790 and R9 290 (I cannot change the profile details for some reason)
