Well since almost all the 7000 cards are voltage locked, i am pretty much just stuck on what to do next. Should i wait for the 8000 or go get a 7970 ghz edition? I currently had the sapphire 7950 vapor-x but i was no able to overclock it much. Please advise if i should just wait or get a 7970 ghz edition instead of a 7950.

    Thanks

This is what i am thinking about getting?

The 7000 series are voltage locked? Really?

They're not. Some might be with specific bios' revisons. The seven I've encountered have not been voltage locked.

Who says the 8000 series won't be voltage locked... bit pointless to wait half a year if that is a deal breaker.
