It doesn't look like there is a Win 7 driver for your soundcard, but according to the poster in that forum, the 8738 5.12.1.51 drivers work with your card...

Have a look here also: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/cmedia.htm

    X-Fi PCI Series Driver v2.17.0008B (update 2)

    Changes for "Rev. B":

    - Fixed OpenAL support for 64-bit OSes.
    - Might fix the SPDIF issues with SB077x UAA cards.

now that i spotted this driver i tested it right away and its much better then A revision, also its newer then default UAA 1.5 driver 2.14 vs 2.17 by rev A, B.
I used original UAA 1.5 driver combined with sb xfi titanium iso disk sw (audio cpl, thx, volume panel,..), well i still am and like i said so far so good, every creative sw works, audio modes, openAL info in aida64, etc..:nerd:

edit: nope i got some static noise and channel swapping in Q4 openAL..im back to good ol' uaa 1.5 driver :)

I'm using the UAA 1.5 driver now too, why are they better than the standard drivers and even Pax?

    idk they just are :)

-they use both 64 and 32bit driver (std creative only 32bit, at least last 2-3 drivers),
-no (bass, treble) tweaks like by PAX, natural sound.

-and they're based on UAA (UAA is intended to be a complete replacement for developing WDM Audio Drivers; however, in some cases it may be necessary for an otherwise UAA-compliant audio device to expose capabilities that cannot be done through UAA. Windows will continue to fully support audio drivers that use the PortCls and AVStream drivers)..

although they're missing "what you hear", this is UAA limitation.

Hi guys, i have the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium FATAL1TY Pro PCIe card, i've had it for a year and never noticed creative wanted me to pay more for features advertised on the box!

First shot at third party drivers. Which bundle do i need for that card?

    Thanks :)

Hi welcome to the forums :nerd:

hm, well he didn't update anything for some time now, but this set should work without any issues.

SB X-Fi Titanium PCI-E Install Disc 1.0 (unofficial)
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=3671397&postcount=9

    ---

Now if you do get any issues you can use this Titanium cd suite for Audio panel, volume panel,..

and install the driver from this pack

    SB X-Fi Series AuzenForte Pack 1.0 (06/14/2010)
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=3671395&postcount=7

but i think you should be fine with standard driver from that titanium install disk.

I've looked and looked about and haven't been able to find any modded drivers for the asus xonar dg. If they're not in this thread is it safe to assume they don't exist?

    They're on his blog. :)

Gonna go back to these when I can since it seems like Rob doesn't seem like he's interested in fixing his drivers. Still haven't gotten a reply from two days ago.

Did you try disabling C1E and EIST in your BIOS? That solved my audio problems on the 775 platform.

This is great thanks so much!

Also can a dg owner comment on daniel k vs uni drivers? How do they stack up against each other in stability, features, performance, etc?

Actually uni Xonar drivers would be the best choice since hes mods them off newer releases. I used uni xonar drivers when I had my Xonar STX usually because he had newer drivers first before asus even tho I didnt have issues with asus drivers.

A friend on a Xonar DG is using them now and not having any issues, but he doesn't use GX mode.

I took a look at the uni drivers and they look very promising. I've heard bad things about gx but it's eax emulation nonetheless. It's be cool to be able to have directional sound in older games. Also it'd be nice to have front panel switching but I don't switch between headphones and speakers daily. I don't mind sacrificing features rarely used for performance. What features do the dk drivers have over stock?

Also I just noticed he has an optional download for the front panel stitcher but it sacrifices performance. He also updates openAL for newer games. I doubt I'll miss eax support; I doubt anyone does.

Also I just did a little research and found that eax is run though openal or ds3d so there's no reason old games couldn't run it anyway. I think gx was just for hardware acceleration for eax which is a simple piece of software anyway (I can't imagine it using more than 1 mflop).
