Yup, I was a buyer.
This still isn't fixed on the PC version? PS4 received a patch that fixed the cut-scene performance, surprised to see that the PC version hasn't had a similar update.
I still haven't got this game, PC version will be purchased once Dragon Age is out the way though!
I'm afraid no and apparently won't be. It's a minor issue though, the actual gameplay is super-smooth and graphically this game is very impressive imo.
tbh, the cutscenes that suffer from the stutter dont really tell much in the way of the story. Its more like banter rather than plot when these scenes appear. Most of the real info happens through in-game dialog or proper in-game cutscenes.
Got my copy from the sale too.
BTW Steam pricing seems interesting, I got my copy for 24.99 EUR...
sure the difference (between USD and EUR) ain't that big and the highish VAT in Finland could account for that.
Still, isn't the first time a game on Steam sells for the exact same amount of USD and EUR.
It's the same price $24.99 in the US too.
I get a lot of twinkling texture edges when moving viewpoint,, is there a setting in the Nvidia controls that would help with this?
A new update was released, it adds a Nightmare difficulty mode with a more aggressive alien and deadlier synthetics and humans along with a damaged motion tracker and the map system isn't working.
Also adds a Casual mode with more forgiving enemies and a less aggressive alien plus more ammo and other resources.
Will this be updated through Steam or do we download and install?
It's a Steam update and it should already be out, you should be able to check the downloads tab in the Steam client and see the game scheduled for updating.
PS4 updated 800 mbs of file.
Nothing from Steam yet?
Updated for me a few hours ago.
Do you have to start a new game to use the updated features?
Anyone who wants to play on Nightmare Mode seriously wants their head testing.
Agreed, and be prepared for hundreds if not more restarts.
Even on medium the Alien was pretty dam annoying.
How many times when approaching the checkpoint to save, the $hit Alien came out and killed me. Could it not have waited for me to save before attempting to take my life?
I actually started to find the game easy later on, nightmare mode might just what i need. As long as you have a clear strategy and don't let him see you, you will be good for the whole game.
Bought and installed this last night.
Very good so far, I'm just at the part with the first Alien cut scene, where you see the Alien in person. I get very tense whilst playing, definitely not a game I'll be playing while in the house on my own lol
Did anyone else take ages to get passed the part with the 4 humans where you've got to find the data cell to open the door? I just kept getting shot and killed... Finally figured out to lure them out and pick them off one by one, but still. Kinda hard to say I have the game on "easy", or maybe I'm just shockingly poor at this game lol
Quick tip for anyone whose not played the game yet: Make sure you have empty bowels BEFORE you start...
I love this game but the Joe's really ruin it for me. I can't get anywhere without them finding me and killing me. I am at the point where I am to meet up with others from my group and cannot reach them without running into Joe's all over the place.
I have tried sneaking, hiding, shooting them and running but nothing works. In fact I never see the Alien, just the Joe's.
Someone please make a mod to remove those damn things so it is just me and the Alien.
