I'm definitely getting the feeling some sites just want to hate the game. Gamespot's "review" complains because you spend time... walking around, opening doors... and walking around more. Honestly, he mentions it in the video multiple times. As if walking around in a first person game is some kind of archaic gameplay design that should've been phased out years ago.
Gamespot and IGN arent journalists. They're hired help, third party marketing contractors hiding behind the guise of game reviewers for publishers that want to have a 'AAA' release and or milk an ip for as many sequels as possible.
what makes this game so neat, is the character animations, every interaction has a different way, opening doors, releasing hatches etc, that's what we need to see in rpg games from now on, not just fps games.Dan Whitehead from Eurogamer gave the game a 8/10. He praised the "superb lighting and unusually compelling environment design". i agree 100% with him.
I got a code for this last night from the " Never Settle" bundle. I was gonna buy it on PS4 ...but free on the PC is cool.
Yep I have been wathing the gameplay movies on the Youtube and been reading the reviews and I aggree that some of the reviews "cons" are good in IMO. The movies had a underlying tension where you never know where the Alien came from, which it seems this game has captured, will probaly play the game with lots of lights in the room though
@Kezen Cheers for those man. Looks like i should be alright for 60fps @1080 or maybe even 1440p. I've only skimmed through playthroughs and reviews atm. Trying to make this the first game in a while that i dont saturate myself with before i've even played it, thus not spoiling anything.
Should get my (PS4) copy tomorrow as it was sent by ShopTo.net on Saturday. I am very much looking forward to this even though have tons of other games that I'm also playing right now.
I buy a lot of games for PS4, yes, sometimes I get the game for PS4 and PC but generally I buy more games for PC, simply because of interesting cheaper titles like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Gauntlet and Abyss Odyssey. I don't have my PC connected to a large screen or surround sound so I have to decide whether I want that large screen cinematic experience on my PS4 or better performance/graphics on my PC. Sometimes I can't decide hence why I buy the game for PC and PS4. And, yes, I know I'm insane! :wanker:
I have habits of buying the same game for more then one platform. I own 3 copies of san andreas , ps2,xbox and pc same will go for gta V. xbox360,ps3, and pc when its released. and why. because each platform has it difference in quality.
@ dsbig - I have GTA V for PS3 but will be buying it for PS4 and PC, so it's nice that the PC version has been delayed a few months. I also have Diablo III on PC as well as Xbox One and PS4 (I have level 70 characters in both games).
LOL. why ur pc won't connect to a surround sound and your PS4 is? on my z906 i can connect up to 6 devices, i think yours should as well.
It's not a question of my PC not being able to support surround sound, it more a question of having very limited space as I live in a small 2-bedroom house and my PC is not in the same room as my large screen TV and surround sound.
