EGS exclusivity on PC is a dick move by Epic. It would make sense if this game was only on PC and EGS was the only place to play it... then I guess sure, that would mean they want to attract console players to PC and to their store. But this is coming to PS5 and Xbox, so obviously Epic doesn't care about any exclusivity, they just want to annoy PC players and make us jump through hoops and nonsense to play every game.
They didnt talk system req. it will be interesting to see how does it compare with Control. Remedy likes to raise the fidelity bar in tech industry it will probably include multiple raytracing effects.
Apparently, Epic and Remedy, since they do not agree with the game appearing elsewhere j/k, I know what you mean.
Remedy have said they would love for the game to be available on all services. After their time with the exclusivity of MS, they are not fans of cutting out players. But, since Epic were the only publisher they could find for the game... their options were limited. But, as they've said, at least this way the game gets made... and it is still available on all platforms. Just PC is limited on where you can get it.
I don't blame them. With Spider-Man 2 releasing just a few days after the original release date... pushing it back 10 days gives them a little more space. The first Alan Wake got overshadowed by RDR releasing the same day, I'm sure Remedy want to put space between them and other big names to try and give AW2 as much of a chance as possible.
Yeah this is probably some calculated delay not a big deal. I still want to see some more of a gameplay though.
Alan Wake 2 to be one of the games to showcase DLSS3.5. One of the times i wish i had a nvidia gpu. https://www.dsogaming.com/news/nvid...first-game-to-support-it-will-be-alan-wake-2/
Remedy was always pushing graphics with their engine and always used latest available features this time isnt any different. Control was one of the first games that supported rtx.
