After running nVhardpage, I enabled all the cool bits and other settings stuff. I'm using the 52.16 drivers with an Asylum Ti4200SE 128M 8X video card. When I go into the advanced settings on my display properties, I was checking out the AGP settings screen. On this screen it shows what the different components are able to support in terms of speed, fast writes etc. Under the OS column, it showed that the OS could only support 2X AGP speeds, yet the hardware shows it can support 8X. Now, my question is, how can I verify what the real speed is? Is the hardware only able to really run what the OS supports? Or, is the first info page for the card that shows 8X as the AGP speed correct? The OS is winXP home.
