Hello AMD has officially rolled out the latest ASESA 1.2.0.1 firmware aimed at improving the L3 cache performance of the Ryzen 5000 processors along with some additional fixes for the Vermeer lineup. I got mine for MSI x570 Edge Wifi mobo today. Enabling xmp, sam only gave me a 3.5% boost in 3dmark alone, cpu clock is kinda fluctuating a bit more in games and the temps are a little better. Oh yeah i almost forgot. I`m using the 5800x I was wondering how you guys are experiencing this new update ?
Actually it does not improve L3 cache performance. It just provides different numbers for the Aida64 benchmark. There is no performance gain. The temps did improve by 1~2c lower. The main performance uplift is that the PBO boosting is no longer capped at 5.025GHz. The full 200MHz boost is realized so 5.050GHz is the top boost clock now.
Found a leak of a beta bios for Asus X570 boards over on overclock.net forums. >>>>>Shamino1978 releases new ASUS x570 BIOs AGESA 1.2.0.1<<<<<
Running lastest beta on my Msi x570 Unify and its taking over 30secs to get to the MEG/windows loading screen on my new 1TB Sabrent Rocket 4 PLUS NVMe drive, was fine before updating but once in windows all seems fine.
