Hey guys, voltage control is gone from my 5870 with 10.1 drivers and 1.5 afterburner.
Thanks Unwinder and others who worked on AB. All is working fine for me.
No time limit now
American solution would be stay in Bed and eat Hot Chicken Soup
Super , everything running smooth on my sli+physx system.
Ones again , i bow to you all mighty computer GODS.
@Unwinder , get better and enjoy the BED .....
Thanks, get well soon and be careful what you do with that laptop.
Switched from 1.41 to 1.50 final and overclocking went down. I've got extensive testing on 960Mhz @1.174V (HD5870) and with 1.50 it's not working. Temps are slightly up and display corruption occurs. Back to v.1.41
What cards are in that list? every msi card? like hd4770?
voltage control doesnt work with my 5870 and 10.1 hotfix 2 drivers.
Thanks, guys. I'm back to office&work today and ready to normal RTFM giving away
No changes in that area between 1.4 and 1.5. Readings are coming from VRM and value set by <Reset> button comes from hardware database.
Of course no. We keep database of marketing names only for new hardware (voltage control capable R5xxx and N2xx series only).
If I were you I'd post Kombustor related issues in different thread. The project is developed and supported by different coder.
Not true at all, no changes in UAC and ALL versions of Afterburner require UAC evaluation by default.
Instead of posting and bumping the same issue twice just read the release notes carefully:
- Now voltage control is also locked by default in safety options in advanced MSI Afterburner properties
Deja vu. When 1.4.0 was released you posted exactly the same nonsense about it and returned to "more stable" 1.3.0. Probably it's time to understand that overclocking stability doesn't depend on version?
well i know they have different devs, but since this thread contains the final release versions of both AfterBurner and Kombustor in one archive i thought this is the right thread to post in
i also posted in the other threads too
Awesome, 1.5 finally out!
Sorry I have been slacking in skin making but I finally got my new system running yesterday after days of testing so I should have some 1.5 skins out soon. I could finally use my MSI GTX 260 that I won in January.
do you mean, that the MSI 5570 will also support voltage regulation? Because on the reference design there are no regulators but fixed voltages.
I would prefer to lower voltage. Is this also possible?
Yes, MSI 5570 will support voltage adjustment, because it's not reference design.
How i can switch my video card in 2Dmode with Afterburner?
(in rivatuner is a special item in which you can specify the frequency for 2D mode and 3D but in Afterburner I can change the frequency in the range only from 550 to 950mhz (core clock). I CAN'T canghe the frequensy to 169MHz (as in 2 mode).
