    I could use some help

    In my .XML I can't find anything to do with quality=_runtime. I'm opening it with normal notepad if that's an issue. I did however drop the two mod files into my WD folder and I notice no changes during the day, at night however everything seems to kick in and I see the dynamic shadows from lights and everything looks awesome. If anyone could help me out with this though I would appreciate it. Thanks.

    Headlight shadows should not flicker anymore, unless you are rendering too many lights on screen. Also maybe it depends on the shadow settings you are using.

    MalDo told me that he can make a configurator for the mod, I have to send him the values and do other stuff to make this possible. I'm pretty exited about this, I really appreciate MalDo and his work so I'm sure he'll do awesome stuff as always!

    Due to the values being coded in binhex I'll have to make only 3 or four presets for the dof like (low, medium, high distances or off)
    Bloom settings should be added to the configurator too.

    Don't hate the effects because you don't like them, you still have dof and bloom in real life. And that can't be tweaked sorry.

    Can someone please explain what the 'Ultra Preset' does V.S if I use a custom setting?

    "In order to use my ultra preset you must go to your gamerprofile.xml located in (/documents/My Games/Watch_Dogs/YOUR_PROFILE/gamerprofile.xml)"

    Is there something different with that preset? If I use Ultra then turn motion Blur off for instance it becomes a custom preset, but all of the effects still work. So what is in the ultra preset that is different? Is it just the 'Bloom' setting?

    I looked at the defaultrenderconfig.xml

    <quality id="ultra"
    ResolutionX="1920"
    ResolutionY="1080"
    HighPrecisionNormal="1"
    HDR="1"
    Bloom="1"
    EnvironmentQuality="ultra"
    AntiPortalQuality="pc"
    PostFxQuality="ultra"
    TextureQuality="pc"
    TextureResolutionQuality="high"
    WaterQuality="ultra"
    DeferredFxQuality="pc"
    ParaboloidReflectionQuality="ultra"
    VegetationQuality="ultra"
    TerrainQuality="ultra"
    GeometryQuality="ultra"
    LodDitheringQuality="pc"
    DepthPassQuality="pc"
    ShadowQuality="ultra"
    ShadingQuality="high"
    RoadQuality="pc"
    RenderRain="1"
    ParticlesQuality="ultra"
    AntiAliasingQuality="temporalsmaa"
    SSAOQuality="hbao+_high"
    DepthOfFieldQuality="pc"
    MotionBlurQuality="pc"
    />

    Still unclear as to why this needs to be set to predefined 'Ultra' setting.

    sry to say but this config is absolute useless, as long as you can`t turn off
    that bonkers dof and motions blur.

    i cant even drive anymore, cus all more far then a few meters is blured like
    hell.

    give us a config without all that blur stuff pls.

    It just isn't working right. DOF looks like it jizzed all over my screen. Need a few more posts before I can share screens sadly.

    This may not cure it, but until then, the focus is good in this package:

    The ultra preset was mostly for people that didn't modify the default gamerprofile, just enter find the quality part change to ultra and done. Easy stuff. Still people don't know how to find that which is something I didn't expect. You can change the settings from inside the game, just the quality will return to _runtime which is the "customquality" part from the gamerprofile.xml

    Thanks for the tweak (not really a "cure" at all). Hopefully the DoF won't be as bad.

    Thanks for the tweak! I like how much easier it is to control the DoF. Just wish it can be controlled so that it doesn't pop up at all when looking at something 5 feet from you.

    How are people tweaking the files? Can we get a link to tweak them ourselves?

    Perhaps to extract them?

    Tried last version with normal camera. Sadly the headlights still flicker on big highways with lots of cars. Must be a reason why ubisoft got rid of them.

    Have to wait from Ubi$oft for that patch. No telling when we will get it. I was personally waiting for it before finishing my first playthrough but now that this is out I was going to pick it up again with E3 Graphics.

    Sadly DOF is broken for me.
