Maybe that fix only applies to AMD cards? I'm wondering if I'm the only one getting this issue.

Same problem its not playable went from 60-100 fps on ultra down to 20 with 0.6 and now 44fps with 0.7 both with lots of framedrop

780 sli @ 1.3 even on single gpu frames stay the same.

Definitely seeing FPS improvements here. I think that those experiencing drops are not comparing apples to apples (for instance if they were on HIGH, and switched to ULTRA when installing your mod).

Please be more open-minded, because it is obvious to everyone how easy it is for you to say that.

There's no ReadMe included with the most recent update.

I'm not seeing it either, Which file is it in? I have the 3 folders for camera changing, but can't for the life of me find the readme.

People complaining about performance in the new version please post a screenshot or the link if you can't post one, I want to see where do you get bad performance. Also i have a single gtx 680 so its impossible to get low fps with better cards than mine. Also if you have bad performance tell me if you are using the command -disablepagefilecheck or not, or other tweaks. Make a good description if you want, I can read.

Edit: Added the installation instructions to the first page.

Amazing! I walked like an idiot during a storm just to see how good good was everything. :D
I found a "problem". Lighting on rain is WONDERFUL but i saw that the effect disappear too "fast" moving the camera. For example it works fine when you look directly the light but when you move just a bit the player in a certain position or move the camera slightly the "light" effect on the rain disappear suddenly. I think that maybe should be a more "gradual" process, don't know. Look just "weird", that's all.

    Congrats again!

Just pick a camera distance folder, and move the two files to data_win64 inside Watchdogs directory

Everything looks amazing! DOF is perfect for me now.
    Nighttime/rain is so good looking.
    Great work!

ermm, nope, not the same at all, even comparing the lib in hexworkshop shows differences between vanilla, v0.6 and this file, but anyway I've taken it down as a new version is up

it would be good to have more people modding this... not to take away from the amazing work TheWorse has done, it's hard to focus on this as much as he has considering how much is involved in reviewing and changing these files somewhat blind and come out with some fantastic results (even 'glitchy' results are fantastic as it's at least a step in the right direction), I see a donation link is now on the original post, if you have the means I highly recommend you show him some support.

for those with the know how and want to play around a bit with the dof unpack 'cameracontext.lib' and look at file 'Avatar.Default.Normal.xml' (this is the file for when walking around) and scroll to the bottom to find

    <object hash="8CE857FD">

    under it are

    <field hash="31EC783F" type="BinHex">9099393F</field>
    <field hash="87C1DEEA" type="BinHex">CDCCCC3D</field>
    <field hash="28D69DA7" type="BinHex">00008040</field>
    <field hash="20018224" type="BinHex">00F02F43</field>
    <field hash="80FC8699" type="BinHex">00004F41</field>
    <field hash="16983825" type="BinHex">00004F4000005142</field>

the values between "BinHex"> and </field> will be different depending on the version you're using, these values are Big Endian and should be translated to Float32 values (with the exception of the last one which is two Float32 values or 'Vector 2')

    The hashs are as follows...

31EC783F - not 100% sure as changing this had little effect for me

87C1DEEA - how fast things move out of focus (blur), the higher the value, the slower this will be

28D69DA7 - how fast things will come into focus (sharpen), the higher the value, the slower this will be

20018224 - defines the area that will be focussed, kind of like a cone, larger values make this area smaller/closer

80FC8699 - defines how in or out of focus an area is going to be (the area you're not looking at), the lower the number, the more blur

16983825 - this is the DoF itself and is two float32 values (Vector2), this should be treated as two values and not one big one, in my example above '00004F40' is the dynamic DoF and changes based on what the camera is looking at, '00005142' is a static DoF and will make things blurry regardless of where you're looking. The higher either of these values are the further away it is.

these are the values I had in my file

    <field hash="31EC783F" type="BinHex">9A99193E</field>
    <field hash="87C1DEEA" type="BinHex">CDCC4C3F</field>
    <field hash="28D69DA7" type="BinHex">9A99193E</field>
    <field hash="20018224" type="BinHex">00007A43</field>
    <field hash="80FC8699" type="BinHex">00002C42</field>
    <field hash="16983825" type="BinHex">0000C8410000AA42</field>

and I found them quite subtle while running around

I'm likely going to regret all this, but anyway, would be good if a wiki was available for all this (I haven't looked if one exists already)

if you don't understand any of this, lots of resources are available through a quick google search

So I was looking for the readme in the latest version however it is only in the last version. I am new to this and so I would really like to know how to install the contents from Close Camera, patch_unpack. I am using 7zip yet there are no other folders that correspond to the folders inside the unpack. Can I please get some help or maybe a video? Would really like to play the game the way it should look not a watered down version of it anymore.
