Can you please fix the shadow draw distance? Here are pictures of the problem. [IMG][IMG] [IMG]

Thanks a lot for you efforts TheWorse!

Now I have tested your DOF effect and when you bring your phone out is just perfect, like e3. May I ask you not to tone the dof down but instead leave it only for when you are using your phone and weapons, that is how it was at E3 I think. That would be perfect!.

    Thanks again!

Ps.- Maybe Maldo can tell us how to re-activate pom?, he did a lot of that for crysis :nerd:

Ok now this i gotta try! Never even thought of that :p Thank you!

I just tried his newest version and it runs quite a bit better for me with the same settings, about 8-10 fps loss opposed to his earlier one that lost me about 20-25 fps at same settings.

I play with a mix of medium/high settings to get around 55+ FPS at all times.

When i used his patch, using shadows and reflections on high which in vanilla makes almost no difference from medium, maybe 2-3 fps but looks better, on his took it down big time, 20-25 fps the first time, and around 8-10 on his newest version.

Hopefully what you proposed will help me. Ill post back as soon as possible!

EDIT: Damn, it didn't work, if i use high shadows it automatically knocks 10 fps off no matter if its read only or not.

I know he said that his tweaks only take affect on high and ultra settings, but when i put it down to medium the headlight shadows still work, the stuttering tweaks still reduced the stuttering and i get my performance back to vanilla so im not sure what to think lol.

Basically i would like the part of the mod that just gives me the headlight shadows and the reduced stuttering tweaks but with vanilla everything else so that i can use high settings for shadows and reflections without the fps drop lol. Also a low bloom effect wouldn't hurt either ;)

I should really learn how to edit these things but its probably over my head.

Thank you guys for the support and the feedback, for the next release I'll increase the dof distance and also modify the focousing so you guys don't get unwanted blur.

I'll increase the shadow depth if you really want guys but it's not the shadow draw distance as someone said before, it's the shadow depth which a increased in order to make it look a bit blured far from aiden just for a fake "effect" like contact hardening shadows. Still I'll lower the value so they are a bit more sharp.

    Great work, TheWorse.

I don't like DoF during gameplay but it's really beautiful.

IMO way there is just waaaay to much going on right now. Just keep it simple.. Bloom, headlight shadows. Everything else makes it unplayable.. As a modder, you just have to know when to stop and call your job complete. Great for screenshots at this point and that's about it. Not dissing you but the mod is overworked right now.

I just want people to experience the game differently, It's not my fault that ubisoft didn't optimize the game a little more to use this effects but It's still not unplayable, Sli in watchdogs works awful, you can see that gpu use in both gpus somethings is arround 50%.

And I don't understand what you really mean with unplayable, if you are talking about performance effects like the dof and the different bloom preset should not affect performance in any way.

I kind of agree, i was going to ask TheWorse if he can fit in a separate lite version of this mod at least for people with lesser GPU's or people who are shooting for 60 fps and every frame counts.

Basically i would like the part of the mod that just gives me the headlight shadows and the reduced stuttering tweaks but with vanilla everything else so that i can use high settings for shadows and reflections without the fps drop lol. Also a low bloom effect wouldn't hurt either ;)

What do you say TheWorse, can you make that happen? Pretty please!

What? SLI works perfect.. If you're getting 60FPS at 50/50 it isn't going to scale higher. If you are getting < 60FPS and 50/50 scaling it's your setup.. Not the game..

Medium textures / Ultra Graphics quality / MSAA 2X

Styckx: Yeah I knew that but I thought there were problems with sli and this game. Still i'm using a single gtx 680 lighting but I don't get drops in framerates, if you can tell me at which time, or more about the performance with the modification it'll be great.

^I only have poor sli perfs after the fix you gave us, with your bloom mod i have no problems. I stick with the good working one as its just superbe really.

    Thanks for your work

I thinks what you did is great TheWorse! It's the way the game was suppose to be!

You've never replied me about the E3 explosions though... What do you think? Is it doable or not? Is it even something you want to look at?

I know you said that high and ultra are where your tweaks are in the settings but when i use medium settings i still get the headlight shadows and tweaks and with no performance hit.

When i use high shadow settings with your mod, it gives quite a 10 fps hit, but in vanilla high settings hardly effect fps at all. What tweaks in your mod's high settings is making the fps drop so much compared with vanilla.

This is the only thing bothering me right now with the mod and if this could be solved with maybe a separate "lite" version of the mod like i described above, i would be using it non stop lol.

I'll test the game to see the difference, maybe I've increased the max num of lights without noticing and that's causing performance to drop so much. I'll redo the defaultrender settings just to be sure.
