Disable object is strange, it disables only some objects including Aiden :D and map is only black.

Oh freaking Jesus!! Did u use the dynamic shadow casting from the helicopter on the car headlights? Or did u just activate cars headlights dynamic shadows?

Anyway, it look freaking awesome! Do you know how to combine your mod with kad mod?

You ask wrong person, i do not create any mods :) TheWorse is the one... i just quote him. And i will prefer this guy, what Kadz do is something you easy do it yourself, its just changing values.

Superb work. You are TheBest (haha!).

I saw a PC GTA IV vs. Watch_Dogs video on YouTube which highlighted how undynamic the lighting was in this game compared with one that is five years old.

I know, I just quote the wrong post. :nerd:
By the way, it's really easy to see how powerful the Watch dog engine is. I don't understand why, Ubisoft decided to castrated the PC version that much. All those effects are not Vram costly, so it doesn't make sense.

Exactly. It's the little touches like this that make such a difference. For me anyway.

Ubisoft didn't even add splashes when you fire a gun into water. I know some people may think that's minor, but it's so easy to do, and it's just pure laziness to omit it.

Every minor niggle adds up, and when you get enough it breaks the illusion, and illusion is what games, films etc etc are all about.

    You & kaidz?

    Hi all,
is there someone that can mix Kaidz's V3 mod and this?

The V3 Mod is fantastic, but still miss something included here.

Is it possible? Could someone upload the mixed Mod?

TheW: you should work with Kaidz! You two are the best ;)

Thank you so much guys, specially MalDo! This means a lot for me.

One of the only reasons i'm doing this is because of my obsession. I'm really obsessed about graphics and I try to modify settings and everything I can to make a game better. I'm not like other modders, I'm just a novice trying to be like the masters.

Here are the screenshots from the latest test of the headlight shadows.

I'll continue testing this shadows with different values until I get it almost perfectly

Stuttering seems to be increased, I'll test different shadowmapsizes

And the headlights emits two shadows one from each light, same in a bike.

Just great great work. Top marks to you fella! :) Can't wait to have a play with this.
Of course, the last thing we need, as you've mentioned is worse stuttering and performance. Perhaps that's why Ubi left this subjects casting shadows out. Maybe once (if!) they patch it, the stutter will be a non issue anyway. We can hope eh?

I'd stay on medium textures and lower graphics quality just to have more proper lighting. Ya know like GTA IV has. Ubisoft seems like they went for the OOOOOHHHH SHINY DETAILED OBJECTS instead of focusing on reality and atmosphere.

Well I don't think so, I think this are actually pretty optimized dynamic shadows :p I mean I think I had in scene arround 20 lights or something like that with just a little drop in fps. I'm maybe wrong but i'm not an expert. I need to test if I can reduce or increase the maximum number of spotlights in scene. Remember that you have 2 lights per car also. But I'll do what I can.

Styckx: Yeah, well they don't care that much about pc.. I found a like of code where it says something like "//this is for pc only, no one cares" xD

BTW how are you guys unpacking the files? The Dunia2 unpacker just crashes for any Watch Dogs files I throw at it

Yup.. That worked.. Been awhile since I did any modding.. Let's see if I still know what I'm doing.
