please help. I have no idea with computers as this is our first system and been nothing but trouble. <BR>Athlon Socket A Motherboard<BR>AMD Athlon 900mhz cpu<BR>129mb PC133 High Perf SDRam<BR>Windows 98 SE<BR>It came with Nvidia Geforce2 mx which we believe to have caused alot of problems with our system locking up. After fighting with Mesh we have now been offered to have changed into ATI Radeon SDR TV out - unfortunately we need help as we really do not have a clue to if this will sort our probs. Any suggestions or comments would be really helpful to us. Thanks
Do you mean that you have been offered a Radeon SDR for free instead of your Geforce2 MX? I am not certain whether it is the Geforce2 MX that causing all the problems, or if a Radeon SDR will fix them... <P>But if I were you I would definitely grab the Radeon SDR. Overall it has a bit better gaming performance, image quality, and compability. At the same time it has dozens of cool features, a very good product but too often underrated. Since it costs more than a Geforce2 MX I'd say it's a good deal if you can exchange it for free.<P>------------------<BR>Amir R. Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately Mesh have now told us we will be unable to have ATI Radeon SDR as it will not be compatible with our system!!!!!!!! We were hoping this would help not only our prob but our relationship with Mesh Computers! Believe me when I tell u they are not a good company to deal with. Thanks for your comments anyway.
Yes it IS compatible, and if they tell you its not w/ a Socket A 900MhZ athlon then they are lying, go have some words w/ them. <IMG SRC="smileys/knock.gif">
