hello . am building a new PC from zero , my aim this time for something that can handle all types of environment , dust , heat .. etc .. i have always been intel user , and i always had the problem with intel CPU where they crash after 2 years . from OC or electricity . am intrested in the AMD 8350 but i have no knowledge of how powerful AMD CPU's are when it comes to surviving 24/7 for a long time , if someone can clarify for me that ... as for the GPU i will go for Nvidia 770 , MB asus regardless if its intel or AMD .
Those environments are directly harmful to PCs..you wont find any parts "Designed" to handle it. Some things are better than others, like a passive-cooled video card would be better than one that's actively cooled because dust and dirt will eventually make the fan stop spinning. Yes,watercooling would be better, but it too has a heatsink+Fan(called a Radiator). The 8350 is the best AMD CPU you can get for under $300 but it is a good bit weaker at single thread performance compared to similarly priced Intel CPUs.
Are you planning on replacing your current rig? If your hardware always dies from faults the problem likely lies in something you're doing. A properly OC'd CPU can go for years without a problem. That's why you clean your computer once in a blue moon. It isn't rocket science, a passive cooler will never provide better performance than a half decent active cooler. Dust and dirt build up will still happen, and it'll still cause problems with heat. The only way in which a passive cooler is superior is when measuring noise levels.
yes I loved the price/peroformance ratio was good for me plus in total it will cost a lot less than a full intel setup with the same performance . some parts of my current rig died , like the VGA and the MB . I cant confirm if the CPU and ram are alive that's why am starting from ma scratch . I regularly clean my PC every weekend , my previos rig died duo overvoltage in overclock , but this one I didn't OC at all it was an electricity problem . I have been building computers for couple years now , but when ever a component dies I cant confirm the reason or if other components damaged in the process , that's why am asking for help from experts to advise on chosing the correct parts . to help protecting the PC for a longer time , like . motherboard : shielded vs standard ? for dust protection. CPU :intel vs amd when it comes to heat or sudden voltage drops , is any of em has better handling ? cooling : water vs air ? am not planning on OC . stabilizer : I need a good recommendation here cuz this one is a must . PSU: 80 platinum or just any 80 will do ? sorry for the long explanation , i just wanted to clarify exactly the help i needed . thank you
