    Morning everyone,

I would like to step up my commitment and get a rig to run 24/7.

I have the specs below where i can get the server for a good price.

    HP ProLiant DL360e Gen8
    2x Eight 8-Core Xeon E5-2450L
    8GB RAM
    Running windows Server.

I have done a rough comparison on CPUs vs what i am currently using but i am struggling to get a rough PPD number.

Does anyone here have any experience with running the Proliant server CPU only solutions for folding?

Any comments would be muchly appreciated.

    What's the point?

Watt per hour CPUs aren't very good and PPD wise GPUs run circles around CPU performance.

Considering how ancient that Sandybridge Xeon is, I wouldn't bother.
