I used to enjoy a LOT games like Police Quest, Monkey Island and KGB. But now it seems it's a dying genre. Are new games of this kind being developed?, especially in the line of Police Quest and KGB.
Hmm.....yeah i remember some of them. I want games like Grim Fandango.....if you remember that one. I think the last one was related to some sort of detective story. Have to see what the name was...
No, it's not dying, it's dead. It died the moment Kings Quest was turned into a action game. Did you not hear it's scream?
the old sam and max, and day of the tentacle were awesome. are those new sam and max episodes any good?
Beneath a Steel Sky was good, I like it because it has ****ty graphics but awsome gameplay and the fact that the graphics are hand illustrated. It is a dead breed, everyone wants 3d action now.
Oh yeah Monkey Island I think I still have the CD These days most games of the FPS genre and I don't like FPS
Yeah I really miss this genre, I loved the monkey island series, and in particular I utterly adored the Gabriel Knight series
There are a few games still coming out, but they rarely make it into the charts. I just bought Secret Files: Tunguska from Amazon which is fairly good. And the new Sam And Max episodes are suprisingly entertaining, and cheap!
Umm... Broaken Sword 3 was awsome.. hard but awsome and new sam and max episodes are good too... we need just more of thise games lets make lucas make more good old fashion monkey island like games
i loved the monkey island series, but the last one (Monkey Island 3) wasn't that nice, imo. Other than the new Sam & Max episodes and Secret Of Tunguska, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and Indigo Prophecy are two other recent adventure games worth checking out.
I've just completed Dreamfall, it was a very well made game but did not do justice for its predecessor. I know it's intentional but leaving the player hanging there with so many unanswered questions when the original had a nice wrap up (which sort of conflicts with this storyline but I won't spoil it) and I felt warm & cosy after the epic journey.
Erm, Still Life. Other than what's been said, that's all I can really think of. Oh, Broken Sword 4. And Moment of Silence.
Tunguska and Barrow Hill are quite good. Cheap too. Return to Mysterious Island is worth a look. It's gorgeous
