Clearly I'm not up to date on my Direct3D options...

Could someone expain what exactly the options mean in the Tweaks > Advanced Direct3D Tweaks menu do and why should I (or shouldn't I) be changing things there?

    Thanks in advance.

"Z Top Disable" - I have tested this option and it seems that you can dissable HyperZ at all when enable this option.

Hi =) I'm new to this forum and I use ATi Tray Tools. Thank you for this awesome tool Mr. Adams! I wish ATi actually would bundle their drivers with this, and toss out the CP and CCC! =)

Anyhow, I would very much like to know the cons and pros for enabling "Block Writing" and "Flip Queue Size" (For the last one, what setting I would also like to know =)).

And, what is the "Optimize PS Code" good for? Performance? Quality? (And foremost, what does it actually do?).

Thank you again for this genious tool Ray Adams!

    =)

"Flip Queue Size" - Prerender limit. Useful if you turn VSync on in games. This can help with mouse lags.
    "Block Writing"- Nothing important

"Optimize PS Code" - Always check this option, or your performance will be low. This option optimizes Shader code for faster performance without loosing quality.

    Thanks for answering! =)

So, I should set the "Flip Queue Size" to five for max stability? (I always use VSync)

Set it to 1, only if you have lags with mouse.

WMV = Microsoft version of the MPEG4 standard
    so,
    WMV acceleration = MPEG4 acceleration

We know that it accellerates WMV, buuuuuut, what does it mean? "The pixel pipelines push the pixels that define a WMV picture faster to output (front buffer)" LOL...

    What does it do? =)
