Wow, just wow at the specs! :nerd: On the downside it weighs 4.6kg :puke2: Price seems about right for the specs, it smacks the Dell XPS 16 and HP DV8T all over the place!

sorry but buying such a "gaming laptop" would be a waste of money and logic. If anyone is on putting so much money, buying a Core i7 seems more logic to me.. especially on the upgradability of the parts thing..

You discount the space saving of a desktop replacement. Sure it will not be ideal to take "on the move" But at home, it saves the need for a desk and chair. I can just sit in the living room, or have it on my bed. Currently my PC resides in my bedroom and it will save me about 3ft!

My brother just got a 18.4" laptop (replacement desktop), basically it's just a portable desktop computer. Battery life is around 2 hours in performance 6-8 if in low power mode.

A replacement desktop type laptop is more for versatility than portability.

I'd get one of these if I was rich; would be fun to take around and show off to people. Would also be a workout on the go (you could curl that thing).

I'm on my 3rd desktop replacement now, it's just easier to lug between rooms which I every now and then do.

But it's Acer so build quality is horrible, feels plastic, monitor sucks, keyboard sucks, touchpad is worse than you can think of, it's noisy with bad fans, overheats and looks bad.

Avoid Acer when it comes to laptops.

A super high end laptop but only a 5400 rpm drive? Come on now, at least 7200 rpm if not SSD. =\
