They were great, but I still favour GNR over them anyday. I like their music but it seems to be a repetition of the word rock in all of their songs lol.
Ill have to agree with you there. They always use the same chords or at least chords in the same mode. Theyre a great band though. I dont listen to bands though. I rather listen to vai, satch etc.
i would have to say that Led Zep is still the greatest rock band of all time and Queen comes at a close second.
Don't get me wrong AC/DC is a great band, but I won't go as far as the "BEST BAND EVER GRACE THIS EARTH" Nothing can be the best IMO. /opinion FTW!
tbh ac/dc is good but not the best but well imho there ain't best out there only good ones and then are the bad ones ^^
there was no music prior to AC/DC, everyone else was just tuning up. they are definately top 10. but not as life changing (to me anyway) as : Deftones Metallica Beastie Boys Rancid
Ac/Dc music and songs are all the same for me, i can't find any difference in the tune of chords of the songs, tried it on my guitar and they're like 90% the same with occasionally a song breaking away from the monotous tune such as THUNDER STRIKE, MONEY TALKS, FOR THOSE ABOUT TO WANK and another one i dont recall the name. it is a good band but i just find it a bit boring.
I would say yes to the music of AC DC with Brian Johnson, when Bohne Scott was alive it was a different story. I prefer the original lineup to any.
