Simply put ... i've read around that .5 in the multiplier is not recommended .. can someone explain why ??

I'm trying to oc my CPU without putting any extra load on the RAM ... so i'm down to chose between these two :

    242*10 = ~2420
    255*9.5 = ~2422

    The 2nd one gives a tad better performance .... but still i've read people suggesting 10 over 9.5 ... ... can't get to 255 with multi. at 10 .... help .. anyone ...

I've tried 3DMark06 CPU tests almost 4 times , along with Prime95 for around 40 mins. ... No stability issues this far ... should i stick to it ??? Or should i revert to 10 ??

It seems to mess up the memory speeds. You may want to double check them with cpu-z before deciding to use the 255*9,5 option.
