    no

btw, pretty much medium=low=high=19-21fps fps in demo for this card at 1680x1050
    1600x1200 would be worse

Does not exist, and why not upgrade your motherboard to pci-e and get like a 8800gt?

I don't see why the 3850 would not be good for you. It's strong enough for crysis at medium. Definitely a good upgrade from a 6800GT, the 3850 is about 6 times faster.

yeah it is good enough for most stuff but probably not if he wants to play Crysis. Crysis will be smooth enough until antigrav but it won't stay above 30fps unless you just play with turtles. Some mods to remove/optimize some of the distant rendering might make it work better.

Some older cards might play Crysis ok on medium, these 3850 cards will not... almost the same as high. Weird I know ;o)

    3850 overclocked=3870
    4850>3870(more shaders)
    4870>4850 (more shaders)
3870x2>4870 (more pixel pipelines), 4870>3870x2 (more shaders)
4870x2>4870 (more pixel pipelines and more shaders)

sry a bit lazy.. by shaders I sort of mean "shader power".

By pixel pipelines I meant to infer pixel fillrate. (Pixel fillrate)/5 is useful for stuff which use Bitmaps and Matrices and Sin(x) Cos(x) log(x) etc. Basically all the cards can pump pixels, the x2 cards can move and rotate them better... restore you browser to a window and drag it around to see what I mean.

you know, i search the internet and i got this:
    6800 gt agp :
    core clock : 350 mhz
    memory clock :1000 mhz
and whats about HIS HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo (Full HD 1080p) HDMI 512MB :

when i play crysis with 6800gt in 800*600 and everything in medium i got 15_20fps and when i overclock the core of this card from 350 to 400 i got 26_30fps i know that crysis is very sensitive about your core clock as i found this, i dont know about your computers or the others.
    how about this opinion friends?
    350 for 6800gt
    720 for 3850????????

    What do you mean?

You can use this to compare cards...
    http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=178&card2=550

It is a good example of what I am talking about...
For the 3850 Pixel Fill Rate for "dragging stuff around"
    Super-scalar MADDx5 so 10688/5=2137.6 MPixels/sec
    GF6800
    3900 MPixels/sec

Most 3D games don't use Pixel Fill Rate though... which is why the new cards are still better. I used to have a 6800 and the fps will be the same for medium, but the 3850 will let you turn on high for games and use HDR with about the same fps as the 6800 was for medium.

13-49 fps playing (19(high)-23(medium) average in the demo timedemo) 1680x1050.. not sure about 800*600 (probably almost the same for me because the CPU bottlenecks me at lower res)

You should get a new PC and a faster card as the 3850 is only useful if you want to play other games. Most other games will run at 30 or 60 fps. Crysis might run OK if you use the tweak, but it is probably not worth the effort stuffing around with it.

    Sapphire Radeon 3850
Radeon 3850 AGP - don't bother move on to PCI-E

I started with a Intel P4 2.8MHzC mobo Intel 865 GFB and 2Gig of DDR400 RAM with Radeon 9800 pro. I had run bf2142 and WIC - they play well at low to medium low settings. I thought Sapphire radeon 3850 HD would cure my ills. Apparently not. I was running w2k. In order to get w2k to run radeon 3850 HD you have to manually hack the inf files to get it to work. Which by the way the solution is found on this website. After this it ran pretty much same as 9800 pro. So, then I installed a SATA drive and installed winxp. I installed latest drivers. Soon after that PSU would reset so I went with ThermalTake 750W - that cured that. I run Mark3d06 and score is ~4900. WIC and bf2142 run maybe 4x better overall, but not worth the $150 for radeon 3850 pro. After all this upgrading it is clear to me I wasted my money on this card. I should have bought a PCI-E mobo and new mem and new video card (new PSU was probably necessary). If you have a similar setup please save yourself money and pain - by moving beyond AGP. I still think winxp sux - it lags even with a clean gaming system vs w2k with a bunch of installed sw loaded and it runs better - other than games. Hope this helps you guys/gals out - game on!

Even guys buying PCIe cards right now are crying, rofl. So you can spend $150 and play bf2142 @ (60fps all high) or you can spend 10x or 20x more $ and play bf2142 @ (60fps all high). Yes, fps in games will run the same or worse, it has little to do with AGP though, next year cards will be better. 3dMark06 is a pretty useless benchmark unless you are comparing GPU's on the same system.
