Kill it with fire.
Just FYI - it depends on where you live
You can't control it because each half modern 2.4GHz remote uses coding (to prevent take over control), and it jumps channels if it is jammed.
jamming entire 2.4GHz may do since most of receivers will reset momentarily once signal is gone.
But I do not know how drone receivers are made since they would fall down like rock while airplane simply has chance to glide down on its own.
I would try jamming it 1st, if it would not work, I would get Anti Drone firing system (shooting net at it will 100% bring it down).
I'd say, get a paintball gun, put some paintballs in the freezer and in case the drone comes back, shoot it with the paintball gun. I'm sure you'll completely destroy it (I've heard that frozen paintballs can penetrate road signs if shot at close range).
we need anti drone turrets, cmon entrepreneurs, here's the opportunity
Would have thought that if it detected jamming then it would just maintain height for as long as possible.
Or like, when they run out of batteries, they don't just crash, they do a controlled descent.
Slingshot Never underestimate slingshots
Mr Big, buy your own drone and follow his and annoy the hell out of him.
iam considering this bigtime. a big huge expensive solid one gonna even rush in air collusion to his cheap ass sht.
I'm pretty sure this paintball drone gunship would wreck a cheap store bought drone with a few hits (or less).
I was going to say that you should have sex on the garden so the drone has a real reason to hover over, but it's inappropriate
If it is a Phantom as claimed then jamming will do nothing but trigger it's GPS failsafe and it will happily just fly itself home, unless you got a massive GPS blocker as well, but that's probably illegal. Really it was probably someone with a $30 toy without a camera who flew over you once in seconds and this story is mostly made up.
Lol guys. Now is that sacrifice fest thing in here. Meaningles to me. But holiday. Hoping it to buzzz around. Bought more ammo.
I think cameras are the main reason for ppl flying drones these days. Officially it's just for 'spotting spots on my roof that need repair'. suuuuure
Well there are two different groups, there are people who race them with POV cameras and stuff and there are people t hat do it for photography/video purposes.
For me personally, I'd use a drone for videos like this:
If I had a drone with a camera, all I'd ever see would be branches and leaves
If I had a drone, all I would see are boring buildings in this urban jungle lol. But then I also don't have a cat.
If I had a drone with camera... I wouldn't let any of my kids use it to try to fly with it in our street: open area or nothing! They already destroyed three pieces of high quality RC helicopters by navigate them to street AC power lines. Had repaired them few times on my own, and it costed me a bunch of nerves, after few more crashes all three of them are semi-functional now and I don't want to repair them anymore.
Drones wouldn't survive in my neigbourhood anyway, sure some neighbour will shoot it down after few attempts to fly over his property.
