    Hello guys.
I'm debating on the upgrade path for mine lovely 980TI.

Was looking at second hand 1080ti Vs 2080S vs 2080TI.

Now i don't game much so i don't really wanna spend too much, but i want a card that can last 3 4 years easily, like mine 980TI.

What shall i buy? I'm thinking second hand 1080ti would be the best.

I moved from 980Ti SLI to 1080Ti, and the performance boost was very similar to 980Ti SLI when the scaling was good (but across all games now!), was very happy with the upgrade. Depends on how much you can bag one for really.

i'd personally wait now, or you are paying a premium for year old tech getting a 2080ti, you'll kick yourself next year when new cards may come out.

if you can sell yours and get a 1080ti for a couple of 100 then i'd do that, then save up when new cards hit, if you want a boost now.

I can count on Boris Yeltsin's fingers on his left hand, how many games I've played with rtx

    I've spotted a nice 1080TI for 350$, if it's still available i'll take it.

Otherwise i'll have to buy the 2070S which is much more expensive here.

Just wondering how you're getting on since I had a similar upgrade path, worth it for you or no?

I think if you're in the same situation with a known good 1080Ti at that price, I'd go for the 1080 Ti a no brainer. The only other reasonable upgrade choice, would be a 2080Ti. The 2080 would be pretty much a more expensive 1080 Ti with RTX. Which to me personally would not be a selling point for a 2080 against a 1080 Ti, given the FPS, with RTX. Just my opinion going from a 980 Ti to a 1080 Ti. Huge upgrade in performance.

Very much, i also caved in to my dark side and bought Ryzen 3700X hehe

The 1080TI is MUCH faster and it's so cold even in hot days, like on BL3, mine 980TI was at 85C,while the 1080TI is 60C tops, that's impressive as much as the gains.
