I have 2 Gigabyte G1s in SLI now. No complaints here. If you want something more aesthetically pleasing, the MSI cards are pretty sexy. But I believe the Gigas are a little cooler (as in temps).

I also like the LED control on the Gigas :)

Yeah i am also thinking getting the G1,s how is it noise wise on load ? because i still dont know wich one to get the MSI are getting a bit hotter, while the gigabyte is a bit louder, choices choices.

    I go for SLI also.

The noise is fine as long as you have good enough cooling in your case to keep the GPU fan speeds from exceeding 80%. The top card is going to heat up like crazy because of the limited airflow in between the 2 cards, so ideally you have a side-door fan blowing air in between them for the GPU fans to suck in.

With 2 of these cards in SLI though, prepare for your room to get a few degrees warmer as well.

Think I may be better off with reference design ?

Let us know what you think of reference vs aftermarket for SLI temperature wise. Plan on going SLI with GP100 when that comes out.

I cant really tell about temps in my open rig but I like the tf coolers,if its like the one on my 980 its 2 slot not 2.1 like the earlier versions.
just turn up the fans don't let them go 0% (if they are set like that at idle)and temps should be fine
gl with them tom and post benches :nerd:

I'd go with the classifieds myself, overclocking potential should be good.

I was looking at the 980 classy on my cell by mistake, 980ti classy out of stock. Good thing I saw the 4gb in the description.

How are they? My Inno3D Hybrid doesn't look like it's arriving any time soon, so I'm starting to look at getting one of these now.

Good choice for the MSI cards. The cooler is very good balance of noise / temps. Had it on my 970.

Glad you avoided the eVGA ACX 2.0 cooler, had it on my 980 and now the 980ti.
Its too weak for the 980ti imo compared to the other offerings (msi,gigabyte,inno3d).

That said I was under the impression most sli users prefer ref blower to get rid of the hot air ?
If you have got good airflow then you should be ok, or maybe if you do have a problem with temps you can get creative with some fans.

Im now looking for a hybrid cooler for my 980ti, the ACX 2.0 cant keep the card below 75'c (within acceptable fan noise) at my chosen OC after full loads in Heaven benchmark, and as such it downclocks one notch.
Got an Accelero Xtreme 4 laying around but i cant find the bloody 1mm spacers needed to mount it to the 9xx series, must have lost them when I took it off my 980 :(

Anyway good luck with the cards !!!

They are getting delivered today. Also ordered another qnix 2710led screen for mys elf. My boy is getting the used qnix. Couldn't bring myself to order a 1440p gsync screen for about $350 more.maybe when the price drops a little.

Will still be a revelation I think, I'm close to getting myself my first 1440p screen too.

I would do it the short time I ran 1080 and 780ti sli was complete overkill. You will get better sli scaling too.
We'll the cards got delivered an hr ago but still at work. Going to test them just maxing out the power target and maybe +300 on the rams. Want to see temps running 100 vsynced.
