I am planning on buying a 9800GTX from EVGA but only have a 520w PSU as you can see. This is it: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134696

buying the 9800GTX is already streching my price range but i really want it so i don't want any1 reccomending getting another card. The minimum for the card is 500w reccomended 600w. I don't have much in my comp only whats on the right and 2 HDs, 1 DVD and 4 case fans these come off the motherboard anyway.

    So would this suffice?

i would say yes it will be fine, im only using arund 470-500watts, with 2 cards.
I would make 100% sure you have 2 6pin connectors tho, as the card needs 2.

So it should all be fine then 20w above the minimum is a bit risky even tho i have a small setup. With this little watts could i still overclock as the card has a huge potential.

You're only going to have about a 250W load

I'm wondering, does the 8800GT or the 9600GT use 2 6-pin connectors aswell?

And also, would my PSU be able to handle this setup?:
    9800GTX,
    2 HDDs
    C2Q Q6600 or E8400/E8600?

It has between 27 and 29 total amps on the 12v rail, I never calculated it properly, but it is between that (it's a dual rail). It has only 1 6-pin connector, but if needed, I figure I can always use 2 molex connectors to create another.

No use of making another thread just for this. :)

The 8800GT needs only 1 so the 9600GT should be the same.

You should also take any videocard's PSU requirements with a grain of salt.

Sweet. Even though I only have one 6-pin connector? I do have some of those that combines two molex into a 6-pin, though. I believe they'd work just fine?

EDIT: I'm impressed by your rig, Quad. An 8800GT and an E6600 with a 350w PSU? ;)
I guess it's true, take it with a grain of salt. Or a handful.

most likely it will being an amd cpu. run the game with aa off and you will be fine.i run everything on high with aa off and get good frame rates. even 30 fps in that game is playable
