Really not sure why your having such problems. My card idles at 54C max load is around 72C. I have no problems with drivers. I think you should try again.
QFT but... Nvidia probably planned this and wants customers to go SLI with these... It only makes sense. I'm not going to that for sure...:3eyes:
exzeth: hey.... if driver support is there (unlike how it wasn't really there for the 7950GX2... even for a single card), and they actually DO come out on Newegg for around $450-ish...... i'd almost consider Quad-SLI. Granted i probably wouldn't buy both cards at the same time.....
Guys, wait for the review with the finalized drivers first, those scores leaked earlier might be not exactly what that card will offer, and don't forget that those were just synthetic tests, nothing more. Game performance - that's what really matters
Let's wait the performance and all. At least with this card being released, its expected Ati will cut 3870x2's price eventually if nothing else. Maybe this card is really, really powerful? Or then its like 7950x2... We'll see after we get first reviews. In the paper 2x 8800GTS should give excellent performance. But it will do in single card? Anyway I think that is way too expensive when Ati's similar card is cheaper. If it doesn't utterly destroy HDx2 in perfromance the GX2 with that price will be a dud. Only hardcore nVidia fan's and peoples who actually have money to spend will buy it.
