Nah man my card tops out at 72-73c max.
Let's see if I can get some help here.
I get stuttering every second in DA:I and when MSI AB is up I notice that the GPU load/power hops down from 95-99% to ~50%. I've tried both overclocked and at stock and numerous settings in NVCLP but nothing helps. I sometimes have this problem in Metro:LL but not that often. FarCry4 on the other hand works perfectly, not a single stutter. I don't have many other games to test (no internet atm) but I remember that Victor Vran worked well.
DA:I - First part of the graph is me running around in Skyhold. Second part is on the login screen of the game (with the soldiers walking).
FarCry4 - First part is me in an outpost and then running around in the forest. Spikes are me opening the game menu.
Okay? Temps for Gaming and Benchmarks (Heaven/Unigine) are exactly the same for me meaning max 78.
Then when i recieve my thermaltake v71 case i should have temps between 70 and 65 on both gpu,s i call that bs big time.
I can also post screens, screens dont mean sh!t sorry, post a video for about 15 min on a game like the witcher 3 or crysis 3 idc what quality the stream or video is, then we can shake hands, after 10 to 15 min, u see temps rise, expect u have temps as high as 73-75c on witcher after a long run with everything on the max, single gpu config.
Ive had to set a custom fan profile bf4 was pushing my card up to 79 now I'm looking at 66 max which is why I find it odd that some are reporting no more than 55 degrees ingame? I cant even get that running the fan at 100%
There more jokers on the internet then u think trust me.
heaven not a really stress test AIDA 64 GPU stress test
dude something is definitely wrong, I would try playing with stock clocks on your 6700k, try with 8gb ram, lower xmp profile on your ram if that can be done? ....
not sure what else to do.. you've obviously already tried with stock gpu clocks but I don't think that's the issue, I don't think it should be jumping like that from 50% to 100.
Is there a specific moment when it happens or is it just totally random or all the time? regardless of situation
wait man, gpu load and power are two different things, what's hopping from 50 to 100? there's a difference, if it's gpu load the load on screen might be small.. if it's power then something's weird (if gpu load sits stable but power drops, then something's weird), but if they drop both that's normal, but i'm not sure power should drop to 50% so check that.
i mean you have a nice system so from what i can tell you should have a smooth and nice time playing with it, no idea what the issue could be
maybe update ur mobo with latest bios? http://www.msi.com/support/mb/Z170A-GAMING-M5.html#down-bios
@ Netherwind maybe stupid question, but u already tried it with another sli bridge or swapped the cards ?
Why are you so hung up on this man? I have played the Witcher 3 for hours, and monitor my GPU temps\usage and CPU core temps, through Afterburner/Riva Tuner.
Highest my CPU goes is 58 briefly, before my custom CPU fan profile kicks in, averaging in the mid to high forties.
As for my GPU, again I game at 1440p but that AMP Extreme cooler is a beast and I have never seen temps above 54oC on anything, even running Heaven all night to stability check. That is a fact man, please get over it!
He's using single card.
And witcher29 is just jealous cause he had a card that did 91c so he has to emotionally feel obligated that cards DON'T do less than 75c during load ... XD hahaahhaha rofl
its an emotional war
but johnny, i agree, that load is kinda weird, 54c? how tha ****
either you have a really well cooled setup or... i don't know, just doesnt seem possible..
I would ask for pictures as well play a bit of witcher 3 and post a history of gpu temp in msi afterburner.
it should at least hit 60c
here's a reality check for u johnny, and for all of us
hilberts review of the 980 ti se which I have stands sound, he gets 71c load which matches with mine.
Cool fantasy story bro, but keep dreaming i wont stop u
Maybe johnny actually has 80c but he wants to believe its 54c, what can u do, a man has fantasies lol..
hilberts review for the card says 72c, so I would assume that is what he gets either he reads wrong or looks at the wrong thing.
Wtf u on about ? u ask for trouble dont u ?
My gpu1 always reach a a max temp of 83c
While gpu2 never goes higher then 75.
Jokers jokers jokers, on this forum, only a handfull of folk are worth trusty that i can talk with thats for sure.
And hilbert is always testing in a open bench, there is never any information on what game that is used for those temps so thats not reliable in my opinion.
right ok, sry witcher, maybe i'm mistakening u for someone else, ROFL, u gotta admit though, still, it's funny, hahaahahha rofl XD
No problem but folk need to stop lying about those gtx 980 ti temps thats just plain wrong.
55-65 under load, yeah right.
yeah i know, it's kinda weird lol, i mean look at hilberts review, 980 ti amp extreme, 72c load, johnny wtf u on? shrooms? XD hahaha rofl
HAHAAHAHHA ROFL XD
Probably lol, now u make my laugh.
If I had one it would be under 50C.
XD hahahahahh rofl, omg guys.. sick, my 980 ti is running at 40c btw, no kiddin, i have window open.. XD
true story rofl..
Maybe he's saying it's 54c OVER ambient. Which would make a lot more sense. There's ABSOLUTELY no way he's getting 54c under load when overclocked or even stock unless he's watercooled.
