I tried with two browsers, no proxy in place. I think it's more likely because I won't pay to download...

...and I have noticed the dxdiag demo loss now!

Hmm, I have been using rapidshare for a while now. I wonder if the isp service has anything to do with this?

I think I may be able to fix the "vista not OS" issue

No you don't. At least you didn't need to do that in the XP driver. Does the inf work or do I have to take a look at it? Don't really know if I have time though. :(

Works great after I forced it to update drivers using "have disk" option.

The gaming performace still sucks big time!

Nothing works for 8800 GTX... i'm stuck at 1280x1024, and no aero interface. It looks crappy on my widescreen monitor. :(

    Oh and thanks for sharing!

EDIT: Ok, installed and tested. The CP works, but it still lacks a lot of things.. I really hope to see some better drivers soon :mad4:

Well, all g80 users will have to wait I guess.. nvidia is working hard on the g80 driver for vista with dx10 support, as they say.

    What does CPL stand for?

Does enabling things such as AF and Vsync work from the Control Panel (CP) ?

    Thanks for the answers.

    7900GT @ 670 voltmoded to 1.45
    Opteron 165 @ 2.5 Ghz
    Vista RC2

I have mixed feelings about vista because of the retarded ati approach they took in auto driver installation. You know when with nvidia xp once you uninstall a driver if you say you don't want to auto install they leave the driver blank. It may sound like I'm ati bashing, but i hate it when it does crap without asking.

I do have praise for vista for having drivers for stuff that i was worried about wouldn't even be supported. In fact these devices work superb. It may be a heavy install, but its actually worth it and very smooth in operation.

I downloaded the compressed driver setup batch from the first post, and downloaded the INT from the second post.

After installing and restarting, I have a control panel, but no functionality.

I turned off AA in battlefield 2, and turned on:

    2x AA
    8x AF
    Vsynch on
    Triple buffering On

but none of these things turned on.

Anyone else have ANY CPL fuctionality?
