I have installed my 5870 and I was thinking of putting the old 8800GTS 512MB card in for physx. Would this be a decent physx card or is just not worth the time?

Would be overkill for physics, but didn't nVidia modify their drivers so physx will no longer be supported when an ATI card is detected?
