Hi guys, I'm having a little problem here. I have 2 8800GTS 640MB in SLI, one with 112 unified shaders the other one with 96 unified shaders. Before buying the second one I asked if it will be compatible together in SLI and the answer I got was yes. Now I realize that my second card the one with 96 unified shaders is running under specs if I look with Rivatuner 2.11 : Core clock ----------- 198MHz Core clock shader----- 1188MHz Memory clock--------- 396Mhz And my second problem is I can't overclock my second card with Rivatuner. Any ideas how to fix that? Have you tried re-installing the forceware driver? I had a problem like this once, re-installing fixed it for me.
I tried re-installing drivers, rivatuner, etc.. without success. I made some screenshot from GPUZ look at this: 112sp card 96sp card
What is your game performance like? Are you getting poor performance in games or even something like 3DMark06.. Take 3DMark06 for example, your system should trash mine, what do you get? It could maybe just be in 2D mode? With mine at 700|1700|2200 and E6600 at 3.6Ghz I got 15,081..and I can run Far Cry 2 all Very High at 1680x1050, on ranch long benchmark, with everything upto very high or the highest they well go and 2xAA i get 29 min fps | 50 average fps | 100 max fps (at the start in the gun store) at 3.2Ghz and 650|1550|2000.. It may be a dumb question...But is the bridge connected for your cards? Some times the simplest thing to remember can be forgotten or over looked real easily. Also.... I have the same cards. Mine are the EVGA brand of the 8800GTS 640mb cards. I run them in SLi with RivaTuner and have never seen that. I will say this. One is an A2 revision and the other an A3 revision. My A3 gets better result than the A2 when alone. What revisions do you have?
are you on Vista? i had this issue with Vista not running my second card, or not showing the right clocks on my second card. in XP it is fine. my cards are both 96sp, but one is an A3, and the other a A2.
