I have a ECS 8800gt http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetailPhoto.aspx?DetailID=902&LanID=0 Anyway i was wondering how to control fan speed as its always at 100%. Ive tried Rivatuner/Ntune without sucess. With Rivatuner set it to auto and set fan speed at startup..rebooted a couple of times and fan is always still at 100%. Do i need a new card bios or something?
Try EVGA Precision. Its much easier to use than Rivatuner. http://www.2manydownloads.com/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewlink&link_id=164&Itemid=54 http://www.evga.com/precision/ Works with any nvidia card
i tried it but how come at 25% and 100% theres no sound difference. I know its the GPU making all the noise because without it my system used to be silent.
It's easy to use RivaTuner, just set Fan Speed to direct control under system tweaks in Riva. Then check the apply fan settings at start up right underneath the fan speed sliders.
Try with lover version of riva tuner like 2.01 btw riva tuner is the best tweak utility for all graphic cards.
i contacted ECS and they said the current card bios didnt support Smart Fan function. Is it possible for me to flash the bios so it will?
