Ok what is the best driver that i can get for my 8800 GTS i know that nvidia has crappy driver support for these cards but i am still running xp so i was wondering what the best ones would be
For Vista I'm finding 101.41 is working really well for me and I haven't found a game that doesn't run well using them.
97.44 (Win XP x64) Works better for me than 97.92, i get 100 points more in 3DMark06 over the 97.92 drivers.
You can run back to back 3dmarks with the same drivers and hardware specs and get up to 300 difference in 3dmark scores. Jesus.. when will people pay attention?
I tried the 97.73 & i couldnt set my AA to 16x only 4x, but it would let me set AF to 16x. Is there something missing in the 97.73 drivers?
not sure, i use nhancer for my game profiles and AAx16 worked fine. but i've since switched to 100.87 and they have been great, give those a try too.
Here we go again , with 400 plus posts you'd have thought by now you would know that all systems react differantly to all drivers , and the only way to find out which driver was the best for your needs would be to to test them yourself
Lets try not to be rude... This forum is becoming a bit to hostile in IMO For my rig, the 100.65 seems to work the best for me. Others have good luck with 101.64, but I see some having some issues that popped up after a few days or so. Just try a set for a day or so, see how it works. if it works, great, if not, delete and try another set. At this time frame its a shot in the dark with the 8800's. Good luck
lol i ave 8800gtx and same drivers i found the 97.92 is ok to run it i await for new relice of drivers hopefully soon they reliced but if u use coolbits to overclok your graphics ur need the moded 97.92 drivers done by NGO i thinks also NGO mofied drivers allow u to clock card in 8 series unless u have software that came with card for cloking but remmber all drivers on 88 below 97.92 are worse as it is cutting edge tech these cards good luck
NGO do modifed 97.92 drivers with o/c init search nvida modfied drivers on guru i ad same problms then u can clock your card good luck
