Still not getting any sound to my Samsung LCD HDTV from drivers after 260.99. What the deuece? Anyone got a fix yet? I came across this link: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=46914&st=0 Which is the exact problem I have, but the workaround fix with the Phoenix Eide program thingy is not working for me as it gives me buffer errors. I've written to Nvidia support but have gotten no emails in return. What the helicopter is going on here? I wanna try new drivers damnit!!
Did it work before? Google has listed some 8600GT's that do support sound output as well as some that do not.
My 8600GT has no sound output. Its coming straight from my mobo hooked up to the TV via red + white analog inputs.
Did you accidentally install the sound drivers when you installed the 260.99? I'm not sure if the option is there if your card doesn't support it but look anyway.
nope, just uninstalled drivers like usual via driver sweeper and reinstalled new ones (clean install or not it don't matter), anything above 260.99 no sound for me even after doing that HDMI Audio Disabled.
everything is working fine when i install 260.99 drivers. I don't change anything. I just install any drivers after 260.99 and there is no sound on my TV. I can plug in my speakers and they work. The link I posted is exactly what i'm getting in my OP.
