here is my newer benchmark on the 87.25 .... it sucks.... it might be my system but to me these drivers are useless out of 10 drivers ive tested 83xx-87xx ive found the longest lasting performance from 84.56.

Great Benchmark. I love the way you set it up. Keep it up =). I am currently using the 84.56 and they are really good. Even though I know that different drivers function differently on each machine, it's still nice to have an idea of where the drivers stand. What I am surprised about though is the difference. From what I read, these drivers are suppose to be amazing for Dual Core users, such as yourself. Did you try activating THREADED OPTIMIZATION?

You need to try out the 84.37's if your system already like the 84.56's. They are the best performing 84xx series drivers sense the 84.22's. I actually get the same performace with the 87.25's as i do with the 84.56's, but like many have said before, Drivers perform differently on different systems.

dunno doesn't look right... I get a hefty increase in performance with 87.08... 87.25 killed that performance though...
    84.56 are nice though

these are my actual recordings of the performances i dont know what it is but i lose over 20% performance with 87.25 and 87.08 i did try it with threaded optimisation on and did not experience a boost.

For me, test on game IL2, Swat4, GRAW
87.08 is faster than 84.56, especially in Swat4, about 10% UP.
but 87.25 cause crash error in Swat4.

I play swat4 as well, and I am currently using the 84.56. How many times has it crashed when you were using the 87.25? And what kind of error was it? Was it just coincidence? LMK

I dont bother with bench marks anymore. They have no berring on in game performance. Ive had drivers that gave me my highest 3d06 scores, yet got super low fps in cod2. Then again, i have drivers that perform like crap in bechies that run games like no other. Im useing the 87.25's and i no longer get lag in smoke in cod2.

i certainly believe believe benchmarks have merit, you look at 3dmark demos and compare them to games that use all of that demos features, you'll see they have very similar frame rates.
for instance in oblivion i get the exact same frame rates that i do in the nature demo

84.43 works best on my rig, although 85.56 is very similar in performance, it has troubles with winfx and cursor xp for some reason

Seems that the 87's give a bump primarily to SLI high anti-aliasing settings

I get better frame rates with the 87.25's... But I also get this weird sort of... shimmering of my screen every now and then.

Ok ... installed the 87.08 last night .. and the drivers are awesome .. stable in all the games i've installed currently .. no diff. in 3DMark scores .. but a very noticeable performance gain in particular games .. specially Oblivion ...

Also the iq seems quite better than 84.37 .. specially under "High Performance" mode .. and the temps seems to have come down by almost 5c .. a keeper for now ..

    currently have issues with 84.56.

When I use my TV as a secondary, it goes into this weird wide screen mode and then it has strange artifacts on the bottom when you scroll down. it won't play 4:3 resolution (1024 x 768).

I went back to 84.30 -- though I am looking for upgrades.

    Currently I have a GF 6600.
