After installing the 81.95 drivers, and I try to run WoW, I get "Unable to load 3d acceleration. Please verify Direct X 9.0c is installed."

Anyone have this issue, and know how to fix it?

    Have you tried this? :-

    Uninstall 81.95 drivers

    Re-install DirectX

    Re-install Nvidia Forceware 81.95 Drivers

That should work, might even be worth trying. :)

Hmm, the performance went down quite considerably for me, but I don't mind, it's still playable. ;)

    Great driverz

Ill tell you what, these drivers kick ass on the 6800nu, I have tried them all, and I mean ALL of them, they look great, run great and no problems what so ever, If we can get someone here to tweak them they will be the best ever (so far) I tweaked them a bit with the standard options in the control panel and with RivaTuner, but when NGO or DNA or ** or even Z get these, they are gonna be some of the best ever.............

got mine thru newegg for around $168.00 XFX is the make and it unlocked with no problems and overclocks with no effort, I am currently searching for a better cooler to overclock maybe more , but to cool it more during 3D games.................

If you can't find a 6800U, a 6800GT is also considered a good buy with solid built quality and the most issues-free card for 6800 series!;)

    hi , gga :)

good drivers with faster and better values as 81.89 and 81.94 which both were fast. im impressed and ll keep these.

    my benchmarks results at :

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1448536#post1448536

    my best 3DM2001: 18297 with 81.84
    my best AQM2003: 54443 with 81.89
    my best 3DM2003: 10206 with 81.26
    my best 3DM2005: 4437 with 81.95

Nevertheless i dont recommend u to oc ur card because 10-15 Mhz will increase ur performance for 1 FPS. So u ll risk ur gurantee of card if u use oc to be 2-5 FPS faster. U ll never know who reads this forum like nvidia members or employees of cards-manufactures :) lol

    ciao cheers - finito-yeti :)

I hold a "No Overclocked" policy on all my hardwares! :p

Might I suggest the NV5 Silencer. I switched from the BFG stock HSF to the NV5 and my core temp dropped 10c. Also, is much quieter than the old one. Here's the GPU HSF page.

I buy from Frozen a lot and they have some really cool stuff.

Figured out my install problem with these drivers. Have to say after testing that the 81.95s are THE best drivers yet for my card. Very impressed. Pfreak. Even Vietcong 2 plays smoother. lol

All's fine now... it is just PowerDVD 6... I tried the WinDVD 7 and it's fine.

I had some bad experience with PowerDVD and ATI cards in the past. WinDVD seems to be the better choice for compatiblity.
