Update your motherboard to the latest bios available if you haven't done it.
If that don't solve the problem, reduce your clocks to stock 850 1200 and increase the fan speed in CCC to 50% or more (it's loud) and test the game. If it don't crash it's because the card can't cope with factory overclocks or the bios fan duty cicle is to low to cool the card.
By the way, have you tested your pc for stability running prime95?

For my build that's one hell of a driver. Still not a single Windows TDR event. Will continue testing.

Updated the mobo BIOS yesterday from F4 to F7.

I may try to increase the fan speed, when I tried to set it to 35% it was too loud I feared it would be too much. Indeed, if OverDrive is OFF I never hear the fan running high, in 3D apps either, nothing compared even to a 30% whan I turn OD on.

The PC in general looks stable. I've got it since 1 week and it didn't crash in other apps. Made run Prime95 blends for about 4 hours this morning while I wasn't at home, no problems. The RAM is ECO and runs at 1.35V (I put 1.4V from my mobo it the closest safe value allowed).

Another strange thing, but maybe it's normal, is when I start STALKER and I navigate the Options/Menù, the card buzzes. Those buzzes vary from menù to menù, Editing Keys/Video Options, etc all those menùs have different tone of buzz :3eyes: this thing made me move the case under the desk to avoid hearing that. When I enter the 3D game levels, buzzes stop.

I'm gonna try to underclock (again) and over-fan.

For Prime95 blend test 4h is very little time, you should at least run for 12h, because most of the problems appear after 4h.
In the meanwhile test your card like I told.

    but do they work ???

CCC string, on a BETA release, c'mon who really cares ????????

I am on CCC 9.12 and on 8.70 RC2 drivers (not this new ones, just the ones before), THEY ARE DIFFERENT THINGS ONE THING ITS THE DRIVER AND ANOTHER THING IT'S CCC SOFTWARE. You could run the driver WITHOUT CCC anyways.....

Please stop scaring ppl with the pointless CCC string

I dowl yesterday, but , since I am soooooo happy with 8.70 RC2 I might keep myself there.

Beta drivers supposedly does not have the version string so it'll show as blank if you do a clean install or the previous installed drivers version ID if just installed over.

Rock solid drivers in every game tested.
    Certainly the best so far!

    The bad news:
underclocking and overfanning didn't work, GSOD after couple of minutes.

    The good news:
Switched OverdDrive OFF, put stock settings back.

    Played L4D2 smoothly, no crashes.

I tried the beast, STALKER COP, entered the vid options, where the game autoconfigured the game to "maximum dynamic lightning DX10" or something like that. Then into Advanced (video options) I lowered ALL the settings (no Sun, no AA, no SSAO, minimum texture detail, etc), and now I'm playing for an hour with no crashes or GSOD. I'm going this way for another hour or two (poor me playing for so long), if no GSOD till then, I'm going to activate advanced video options 1 by 1 to see what's causing the GSOD, in that case maybe driver related, bad programming releated or memory (texture detail maximum that lead to occupy all the mem? but I did a vram test yesterday and went fine).

    Let's see what happens.

I play COP all maxed except AA, and I never had a crash. So it's not game or drivers issues.

But we don't have the same card, does it count?

I had to play L4D1 all max with friends and no GSOD, I don't know what to think.
