NO crashes or anything like that.
L4D2, Crysis and Stalker are running fine.
Best driver for bad company 2 beta
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
41632, 679294, 19, 70, 61.287
(the 19 min fps happend while i was inside a smoke explosion, huge drop)
--^ a complete match from start to end
1680x1050 everything on high hbao off vsync off 4xaa 16xaf on a 22 players full server
Seems that Bioshock 2 still have issues with crossfire setups, I'm seeing lots of artifacts and screen corruption.
Now playing with Catalyst AI OFF
Bad Company 2 crossfire still broken
Tried L4D2 and BFBC2 seems fine cant see any difference from 10.1 hotfix. Not bothered with any benchmarks.
Still flashing water in crossfire in BFBC2 but I think that is a engine problem as it has been stated that this was fixed for retail.
well these are keepers, my monitor now goes into standby again, and all games Ive tried work great.
Nice reviews guys, i will give them a shot later today
One good fix for HD4000 series- NO AF at UE3 games has been fixed, just tested UT3, bioshock 2 and AF is back, AT LAST FREAKING 4 MONTHS!!!
I know the grey screen hotfix fixed my issues. Im using these drivers and im worried.. So anyone have the grey screen issue yet?
Nope but i had 2 driver stopped respondings.
These are stable for me for my 5770 card. I have yet to experience a grey screen with them *touch wood*
I guess the ATI guys weren't lying when they said we'd be really happy with 10.2's
rflair is my hero!!!
hey these are good drivers..thanx .
works a lot better in all games ,not as jumpy and smooth as silk.
About the driver not responding: You overclocking too much?
ANyway seems solid as 10.1 for me. I had no problems with 10.1 and no grey screen issue yet.
Still vertical stripes/GSOD here playing STALKER C.o.Pripyat.
All stock, nothing overclocked.
Prime95 run with no errors.
Tried to underclock to 850/1200 from factory 865/1300 (XT version) through OverDrive with NO luck.
I didn't try yet to disable Powerplay, but in line of principle, I'd like to make things work in the "official way".
Never experienced vertical stripes in 2D mode, only in 3D games: STALKER mostly and very frequently, then Bioshock2 black screen hang up needed to reboot, one time L4D2 freeze needed to reboot.
Please try to find a permanent solution to this, the video card is expensive and I don't want to agree with people who say it's best to buy XBOX to avoid those issues.
I certainly wouldnt judge ATI using any stalker game, the only way clear sky would run for me is if I uninstalled my soundcard (x-fi extreme music att) then I bought my asus xonar and same thing.
Nothing is overclocked, ati overdrive is greyed out and not activated and all components in my pc are running stock. Because of my motherboard being a budget model i dont really overclock it. I also have great cooling in a cm storm scout case making it hard for anything to go above 30C.
But i did try one thing and i reinstalled audio drivers "realtek" for mobo, had the ones from the chipset mobo cd installed before. So maybe a compability issue there, made it stable again.
You're right maybe STALKER is the worst game in terms of bugs/optimization. But until the vertical stripes appears, it runs very smoothly, no slowdowns whatsoever, and the crash appears randomly, not in a middle of messy fight, or in a place full of gfx effects, it may occur while you're in front of a wall or while browsing the inventory or walking over an hill.
One thing I noticed during the vertical stripes/GSOD is that, just after 1 sec it happens, sounds continue to play in background, and then all dies, need to reboot. Maybe I'll try to play with no sounds at all to see if it happens, just to test one more of the millions things I've tried so far.
I hear you man, it's a major pita, and it doesnt help when you dont know for sure where the problem is....
