Put your overclock with stock fans: 7900gt extreme 520/1500 without artifacts and temp iddle and load

  2. Well I just got the EVGA 7900GT Superclock. And it does 630/1800 on stock volts. Not sure if I want to volt mod it yet though. I'm planning on using it in my lan party PC. Stock clocks are 550/1580 it's still running on the stock cooler too. Idle was 52C max load was 78C if I remember correctly.

I'd not overclock my Geforce using ATI tool.

    Use CoolBits.

I try pushing the GPU above 550MHz and the drivers just says it fails the test. I also can't seem to get the RAM past 800MHz with Coolbits (assuming thats 1600MHz effective?).

lol life is full of ironies, you were looking down on 7900GT yet you got a good card while I was pro 7900GT and I got bad card :((Arzek got a bad one too). How does an 7900GT @ 630/1800 compare to your stock X1900XTX though? I would say it's pretty darn close in all games exept Oblivion.

Oh one friendly advice though, you might want to put some alum heatink on the ICs chips on the back of the 7900GT.

    601/1800 with stock volts/cooler.

I'm considering the volt mod but probably won't at this point since the card works great.

    47c idle; 67-71 on load.

WTF!? I didn't even get my card yet. Still patiently waiting until it should come next week. Damn Finland.... Isolated from the rest of the world.... I currently don't have my pc because my old 6800GT broke, so I'm now without a GFX card...
