I wonder how this combination will work... Im planning on buying one 7900GX2

7900GX2 uses true SLi and therefore can't fully work with CF board? :help:

You'd be better off buying a single 8800GT or 8800GTS(512). I personally stay as far away as possible from those GX2 cards.

The GX2's were compatible with non-SLI motheboards on release - however, i'd see if nv have a compatibility list on their website that includes newer boards.

As the others have said, I would consider something along the lines of a single GPU card rather than a GX2. If you dont want to break the bank how about a 3850?

I must seek some used 3850 or alike because I don't want to spend much over 100€ :)

Up that slightly to 125€ and you should be able to get a 8800GT - which, IMO, is superior to a 7900GTX...

EDIT: Oh and a 3850 is an ok card too... But the 8800GT is faster...

Agreed - if you can afford/find a cheap 8800GT (maybe a 256mb 8800GT?) then that would be the way to go. I was advising the 3850 purely from a price point of view.

9600GT is also a good choice.

A 7950GX2 would outperforme all those cards.I mean,i'm not talking about the 8800GT 512 but the 256 edition is rubish and the 3850,imo is too;and the 9600GT (wich is better than the 7950gx2) is not out yet.BUT,oh hell no you'll run a 7950GX2 with a 480w power supply. Why don't you look for a used 8800GTS 320mb,i think they are pretty cheap now.
