Can anyone answer me a quick question please?

I've been offered a Gainward 7800GTX and would like to know if it's much of an improvement over my current 7600GT?

Don't know what to do and would appreciate a bit of help!

It will be an improvement, even more so if it's the 512mb 7800GTX. I moved up from a 7600GT to a 7800GTX and certainly improved things a lot.

My 3dmark scores running on Vista are
    3dmark05
    7600GT - 5845
    7800GTX - 7617
    3dmark03
    7600GT - 12482
    7800GTX - 15644

Have a look at this table too

I'd not updated my details sorry! Done it now!

    Yes I've got a 256mb Geforce 7600GT now.

The mate wants a tenner for it and just wondering if I'd notice any real difference in games etc or just stick with what I have now?

Or you could pick up a hd2900gt ( i will tell ya how bad this card performs Tuesday or Wednesday when i recieve the card). Just kidding the 7800gtx is very powerfull card compared to the 7600gt. Basically a 7900gs/gt card of the 7900 series. Myself if it didn't cost much more then $50 then i would do it. Oh yeah grainward are usually overclocked from the manufactor.

It's definitely worth a tenner for the improvements you'll get!

Well I got it and installed Expertool but no enhance mode settings.

Card is running at 440 core clock and 1250 memory clock,is that normal? How come I can't get an enhanced mode option?

Aquamark scored 95375 with the 7800gtx
    3D Mark 03 scored 17495
    3D MArk 06 scored 4419

Using a E6400 Dual-core cpu but do those scores sound about right for the new card?

clocks for the card is 430 core and 1200 mem. So you are fine. If you got good flow in the case up the ram to 1300 and around 480 on the core, thats a pretty stable oc. Your scores seem fine to me. Now get another one on ebay for cheap and sli that hoe!

I have an XFX 7800GTX 256mb card, 490Core mem i think is 1300, i used to get ~9500 in 3dmark05 and 5800 in 3dmark 06. I could play Bioshock max @ 1280x960 with avg 34FPS, and basically any of the newer more shader intensive games like Dirt/Lost Planet all on pretty much max, but at @ 1280x960.

Its a great card, and tbh i think its perfect if you've got a small LCD. I just needed something with a bit more juice for my 22"
