Both BFG and eVGA OC out of the factory a slight bit, BFG more so than eVGA. BFG also has a lifetime warranty, you can't lose with that. eVGA has a 90 day program where you can exchange and pay the MSRP difference.
Another thing is that eVGA is typically cheaper to buy from. BFG charges you for their OC. I don't see why you would buy a pre OC'd card for so much extra when you can just OC it yourself.
Still, I have heard that many people have fared well with both brands.

What are you doing with your 6800 GT when you upgrade?

i have always bought BFG. I have never had a problem with a card from them ever. Also if i ever do there is the nice lifetime warranty which is a plus.

Yeah, if they're the same, I would buy BFG for the warranty and to save you the trouble of overclocking. How much are you getting them for? i've seen eVGA for as low as $399 and BFG for like $412.

I have had both brands , a BFG 6800 GT AGP when the 6 series first came out in 2004 and now I have 2 EVGA 6800 GT's PCI-E I think both are very good quality makers so that is a tough choice , i think the price is what you should focus on, EVGA has a KO edition GTX you might want to look at it clocks at 490 right out of the box where BFG I think is only 460. a single 6800 plays anything I throw at it though , 2 is better, 1 7800 ahhhhhhhh, thats beautiful, what is that velvet? Any one you buy is gonna be good(for 6 months till the next big thing hits)

You have Gainward 6800GT, which are arguably the best Nvidia cards manufacture. Leadtek are also very good. If you have choose between Evga and Bfg then close your eyes and do inky pinky ponky and choose anyone lol. I am sure you will be happy with either of them.

Why don't you wait a month and the prices should drop. Look what happened to GTX prices.
