RIGHT, so, when I play CSS all the models and wood floors and doors and whatnot all have a shine over them...

I can't quite figure out why this is happening.

    So, like, uh... HELP! :D

Thats got to be a driver issue. As mentioned, what drivers you use?

I'm using the latest from nVidia, and I've played at both stock clocks and my normal OC and it didn't chance, HOWEVER, when I set Mat_dxlevel to 90, then back to 95 it seems to work just fine, so I'm going to uninstall all my steam games, and then reinstall.

No just install different drivers. My rig has issues with train level on css. So i know it is the drivers.

its not drivers lol. its a setting in css, you must of been messing with your config.. i have to go find out the name for it, but make sure in your graphic settins section, make it say simple reflections. and if you changed any recent settings change them back or reinstall css for the clean reinstall:)

    ....

    you guys are retarded.

Sounds like you have mat_bumpmap set to 0, and mat_specular set to 1. Set mat_specular to 0 and its fixed. Otherwise just delete your cfg.
